"I think this is getting beyond what is nesessary. Doctor, I understand that this is your station and your prisoner or patient if your prefer. All we ask is that you perhaps monitor us remotely but let us be the sole dealers with Saar. If we are to get anything useful from him, we must play his game. If that is not possible then what do you suggest?"

"Then I do not talk," says Saar.

"Well, I suppose if I was monitoring..." says Thule.

"No eavesdropping," says Saar.

Denz quickly interjects. "Monitor visually should be adequate, one of us can come with you if you wish, Doctor."

"No," says Saar. "I consider this a point of courtesy. All of you Jedi came. All you you should stay here to listen to me."

Andro looks to Roan, raising his eyebrows in question and, inclining his head toward the door, silently asks Roan if he wants Thule bodily removed from Saar's presence.

Denzral catches the movement, and shakes his head in a 'not on your nelly' gensture. "Doctor, please allow Saar his private audiance, it would be in all our best interests."

"Perhaps there is some way we can get your approval of Doctor Thule's presence?" Gallagher asks. "Understandably, the Doctor is loathe to leave his patient unattended, Saar."

"That's your problem, not mine," says Saar. "I have made my views clear."

(come on guys, you saw this happening from very far away. Of course he wants to play a game without the doctor budding in)

I suspected the Doctor wouldn't be welcome.

Well, we're going to be stuck until someone sorts this!

Seems pretty clear to Vera that the good doctor needs to be convinced that he can't help us here if Saar isn't going to talk.

"Look, Doctor," Vera-Kin speaks up. "It looks as if he isn't going to say another word if you stay. I don't at all agree with his superiority complex, but it's certainly preventing us from continuing our investigation. This goes beyond Saar. The sooner he talks, the sooner we get out of your way and you can return to your work."

"It is completely unacceptable for Saar to have communication with people without my being privy to it!"

"Doctor please?" Denz says while turning to gaze at the man.

(OK. We've asked, begged, and tried a little reason. This has to move on. Do we have any actual authority here? As in, is it a crime if Andro were to remove Saar from the room and guard him so that he cannot spy or othwise interfere? Unless It's clearly illegal, and unless Roan or Jelena chime in to stop me, that's what I'm going to do. Although I would much rather Andro be part of the conversation with Saar.)

If you mean Thule, then yes, that would cause you trouble. You are guests of the Bureau here and Saar is under their authority. The Council is leaning on the Bureau to get you access, but you can't push it too far.

Call his bluff. Say, "ok, sorry then Saar" and walk out.

I realize it might throw us off the plot temporarily, but what's stopping us from coming back tomorrow, perhaps with a Force-sensitive medical type who can act Thule's part in his absence? Besides, removing Thule is a tacit acceptance of an idea we don't agree with. I don't want to be a part of it, if it can be avoided.

Dinner's on me.

The bluff would be yours. What does Saar have to lose, compared to you? You need him.

He's got to have some motive for talking to us. Maybe it's just boredom, maybe it's a scheme. If he had no reason whatsoever, he simply wouldn't talk to us.

I'm not saying the bluff would work, just that it's an idea. I don't care if he doesn't cave, then rubs it in our face when we come back. We lose nothing except however long we want to be gone for...a minute, an hour, a day.

there also remains my idea of a force sensitive doctor or psychologist, to placate Thule. Any chance we could dig one of those up on Coruscant on short notice?

Only Thule will placate Thule, if you get my drift. He strikes you as the professionally jealous type.
