On that matter which facility did he try to break into?

can someone remind me what he was looking for? Perhaps his actions can give us a lead or something?

I don't think it's been said said, just something from Lennah's collection I believe.

Still here and keeping up. I just have no useful input to the situation right now. 😛

Vera-Kin will thank them for their cooperation.

Andro, Roan, and Denzral are our best tech people. We need to see if we can recover the messages that Lennah has sent them previous, so that we can try tracing where they were sent from.

We have some ideas about what kind of world he is on and what part of the Galaxy it might be in, but this will help narrow it down further.

(Andro will take on recovering the messages.)

Denzral will happily take a stab at recovering the message(s). Fix-it: 3

Shouldn't we leave this to our droids? They are surely more tech savvy than us.

I've learnt that it's usually better to have a player who is decent at the task to at least be with the npcs wen their doing semi important things, just in case something comes up.

Ok, Andro and Denz, you are in another one of the high Coruscant towers where their central computing equipment is. Yes., by logic it should be in the basement, but any establishing scene on Coruscant needs the sky traffic visible.

The bad news is- Lennah put a self-destruction code into his own messages. They're gone. Nonetheless, this IS one of the few traces of Lennah you can work with, so don't give up. Do you have a plan?

Your droids are very good at mass data sorting if you have large volumes of stuff to work with. They can find matches in seconds that would take you hours. But they lack the sort of creative spark you need to start finding stuff in the first place.

-

Jovan- well, the expedition he was on was looking fornthe Scrolls of Bandomino, one of several lost volumes of Sith history that Saar says is a detailed record of Sith military victories, and hence a possible lead on the SnK.

You don't know how that expedition ended- but in any case, it was over a decade ago. You aren't really sure what Lennah has been doing since.

(The break in was at some offices on planet random- it's all been cleared out since. If there had been anything more to find, the Jedi would have found it when they were tying to convict Saar).

Maybe they could find a way to reverse the self-destruct coding?

Jelena will ask the representatives if they know anyone in the company that had a closer, personal connection with Lennah. She knows how he is as a person, but he must have had a few personal connections in all this time.

Too bad we don't have access to his bank account, we could follow the money.

(Can we find where the message originated? An address of some sort, whatever the IP equivalent would be?)

Ah! The incoming logs. Well now, that's different. He can't have delete those himself- he;d be relying on the people here to have deleted those.

And indeed, they are wiped... but only using standard methods.

-

Jelena- not on the board, no. The only people he ever vaguely shared anything with were his PAs.

"Personal assistants?" Jelena asks. "Tell me about them."

(And yay! We have a lead there then.)

We'll start with those first then, we don't need to recover the actual message itself, just the data echo that contains the infomation, "Holo"-net paths that will be like a string of IP addresses detailing where the message passed through to get to it's destination, usually starting with the origin. However getting this information will likely be harder to recover than recovering the message itself.

Maybe not, considering the messages auto-deleted.

Not auto-deleted, the people here delete it themselves using standard techniques like Ush said. So recovering it may not be that hard, but recovering the data-log under the message accurately may be harder than simply recovering the message (after all we don't need to read the message), we need the path it took.

(Either way, Andro will take a crack at necromancing the incoming logs.)

I was just pointing out that the message itself is gone anyway. What you're checking is the path it took, which can be found. The message itself is deleted beyond recovery.

Jelena should also ask if they know anything about measures Lennah may have taken to protect himself.

Xeth has a sour feeling he's got battle droids.

Well, you know one of the PAs, Jelena!

Ok, so it is your intention to try and trace where the incoming messages came from?
