Had a train of thought I was kind of following through the character, so I'll just move on to my next question, I suppose.
_______
Aurel hesitated after a moment, then added to his line of questioning in a matter-of-fact tone, "And what of your foresight? For all your alleged power, you could not glean something from the Force? Though," the young swordsman adds as he turns to look at Roan and Xeth, seeming to speak a thought aloud as if it had only just occurred to him, "if you could I suppose you would not have found yourself where you are now."
Aurel frowns for a moment, looking back to the zabrak and replying, "I will admit that I have been placed in this investigation with less than perfect understanding. It was deemed important that I become a part of this investigation post haste, and I will likely speak to my comrades in detail after we are done with you." He steps closer to the window as he continues, "Even were the Council 'ignorant' as you say so arrogantly, they clearly know that action is needed, else we would not be here."
"Which brings us to the current obstacle," he says, folding his arms as he regards Saar, " you."
"You depict it as me being an obstacle," says Saar. "My point of view is different. It is simply this- you need me.
"You should consider something. Look at the manner in which Adelmo killed Lennah. Brutal, evil, skilful... almost beautiful in a way. But most importantly, subtle. Quiet. Careful. Katai held that man down and Adelmo burnt out his brain, and not only did no-one know she did it, no-one of the Republic even knew she existed.
"Now, let's test your skills. Who can see where I am going with this?"
"Aside from confrontations with her? Ascar told us," Gallagher says. "He was familiar with a culture that exhibited the same talents that Katai did, her ability to manipulate gravity at will. And that world had come into contact with Adelmo's planet, and on Thalos we were told about the war that Adelmo started."
(I cannot remember the name of the planet where the wall-walking dancers lived... though the people were the Atri'i)
Yes.
"Katai was discovered in the vaults on Cassilis," Gallagher says. "One of our agents had been researching her movements after that, though our current mission to find her and her employer did not begin until she destroyed an ancient tomb on Agalania.
"I had... visions about Adelmo prior to that, though I did not understand the meaning. And I foresaw Katai's presence on Cassilis. I'm the only one."
"So, Katai started blowing up large chunks of Republican culture. Oh, she was trying to cover up what she wss stealing, but Adelmo would have to be insane to think that you would not get on her trail sooner or later, after those displays. And you tell me that she blew up the tomb on Agalnia right in front of an enormous Jedi strike force?"
