Too bad indeed.

These prep war threads boil down to a handful of Deus Ex machina devies all the time.

It's the same problem when you put a lot of super powerful people altogether in a match.

Realistically these guys can be so close and everyone do such outrageous things that it can have so many outcomes and each one will be legit. You wanna break out the Miracle machine, I'm sure someone has a scan of someone being able to instantly control all tech in the area. Bring out the Worlog I'm sure Kang can do something with that.

Bring out Reed's numerous Plot Device weapons and I'm sure DC has something to counter them.

I pick Doom to win cause I like him a lot and besides its fun, and honestly he also has the ability to potentionally steal any high level power the other team comes up with like he has done in the past. He also could be the most versatile person in the entire field cause he tends to dabble in just about everything here.

But mostly it's because he's Doom and I like Doom. You could come up with reasons why that isn't so but honestly the field is to large these guys are all super geniuses or prep guys.

Maybe in certain areas some are better than others but nothing that is going to dramatically tip the scales.

I do feel Marvel is handicapped here, so many middling "brains" that don't compare with the more stacked DC ones.

Grandmaster is mediocre, like Champion for the Chess-set. Pym is good but nothing godly in the genius stakes (ants ffs?? and growing really large and vulnerable??), similarly Red Skull is weak and wouldn't even trouble someone like Batman, nevermind the serious brains.

Anyway, if Reed and Doom are at their best, they might make a contest of each encounter, but I see DC winning each one.

oh and Doc Ock was a joke... just alluding to the inclusion of mediocrities in the Marvel line-up.

imo Thanos, Banner and The Leader would have been better picks for each of them.

Dude. Pym tech created the Infinite Mansion that had doors that could bring combatants out anywhere in the physical plane, even amongst the many planes that reside around them. Mixed with Kang's Time Traveling tech and you have pretty impressive attack feats. If Pym hands Pym tech over to the other combatants they can dump them in different levels of planes. Like when Pym dumped Absorbing Man amongst the Cosmic Entities just by touching him.

You can't be serious.

Not really. Like I have said countless times, Constantine doesn't need those devices. Constantine is a Prep GOD. I'll list a few feats:

Constantine has bested the First of the fallen (most powerful entity of Hell) five times or more.

He made the triumverate of Hell heal him from his lung cancer

Made the Almighty (then now called Presence) do his bidding ( basically by saying he would take over Hell and the almighty didn't like the idea of someone with Constantine's shrewdness running hell (he had no problem believing he could take it over)

He made the Angel Gabriel (head of the angelic hosts and equal to Micheal and Lucifer) his slave and puppet

He's beaten just about every high demonic power he's encountered.

That's why Constantine is pretty much better than the rest. It's what he does and has his own series to prove it. He basically beats beings 10000 times more powerful WITHOUT those insane devices. Without that level of power.

Yeah, and he does it through the manipulation and careful adherence to a set of rules and limitations that nobody in this thread is bound to.

Constantine's feats are all very scenario specific and don't transfer well to forum matches.

Oh, and Doom wins.

Even with a few moments of prep, DCnU Constantine was able to take Superman down on his knees, own Andrew with a mini sun he carries with him, and was the main one who took down Enchantress. With a few days prep he can make a deal with pretty much anyone, including God if he wanted to, make him immune to time manipulation, and come up with pretty much any spell he wanted to.
He's pretty much prepared for anything.

Constantine gets my vote.

The biggest guns on either side, imo:

Marvel:

Doom and Reed.

DC side:

Metron and Brainiac 5.

The rest are largely irrelevant, imo. At least compared to these folks.

You think Alex is irrelevant? He has arguably created the greatest scientific device in comics. Something that not only brought back the Multiverse, but was able to manipulate it on a whim.

His last appearance had him bring back (I believe all the dead worlds) destroyed by Omega ON THE FLY. He's basically Reed on crack.

He also owned Lex Luthor and told him he was him only better.

Fixed.

Still trolling, I see.

I only read him in Infinite Crisis, but that sounds impressive.

Does Metrons fourth world feats apply, or no?

His last feat was in one of Robinson's last JLA arcs.

Any and all Metron's feats apply. Since, the crisis didn't affect him. What else has he done?

And creating the Worlogog is definitely up there as well.

Brainiac 5's build the Concentrator. A device that manipulated EVERY JOUL of energy in the universe to do whatever he wanted with it.

The Crisis didn't affect him, but he was killed.. No telling if this "new" Metron is the same character, or someone new the Source being made, without the originals history and only the name in common..

true i suppose things would have been better if the op made specific matches with specific combatants...as is its too much stuff up un the air to speculate a clear winner
