I would probably have a lot more "independents" on my list of I was being completely honest.
Drop back to Elementals and pull some out of there. Maybe move on to some Vortex characters. And, if I was feeling REALLY crazy, throw some Marshall Law characters into the mix.
Solar and Nexus had some cool stuff too.
My Wild Card Favorite would be:
Classic Tiger Shark (the one that was on Namor's level), before they sissified him to be more easily digested by newer characters. sadwalk

Oh yeah man the Elementals were great. I loved the arc with that version of Thor.

This thread has actually been eye-opening to me, because it's showing me how I compartmentalize certain comics in my head. Star Wars is in its own compartment, all the comics that are among my favorite and count as literary "art" are separate (V for Vendetta, Sandman, Planetary, etc.) so when I thought of my list I didn't include anything from them.
Somehow Doctor Who is in with mainstream comics, which doesn't seem to fit. But meh, it can't all make sense.
