Thanos vs Zeus

And if this was a ufc fight in my opinion the ref would have called an end to it. Kind of like sif did. In my op each of the 6 or 7 panels it took for thanos to rise represents at least a few seconds. Even at two seconds a panel that would be at least 12 seconds in which the fighter is struggling to stand. What ref wouldn't call that fight.

We have absolutely no time frame for the panels. It's pointless to even try to guess without the writer's opinion.

And no ref would've have called a fight where one fighter is simply on his knees and completely conscious.

'Save the eulogies until after the body COOLS, Asgardian'. Thanos' exact words and punctuation and inflection, while he was supposedly 'down and out'.

If it was a UFC fight, Odin would have won a unanimous decision by the judges based on points.

You can't take anything away from Thanos' absurd durability anyway you cut it. Conversely, said fight is a testament to Odin's power output and durability while still having more levels he could crank up to.

Always the attempted deflection to it being a mere testament to Thanos' durability, yet no one ever seems to be able to deny the fact that Odin put Thanos' power level as comparable to his own, on panel, and the fact that Thanos wasn't even there to fight, and had not begun to dig into his own well of power yet.

Odin giving Thanos his respect and comparing their respective source of power is one thing. Their source of power actually being on the same level is something else entirely. Don't see how that can even be argued, really.

lol at people now having to say "if this was a UFC FIGHT" if this was a UFC fight, Thanos wouldnt of have had to fight PG Thor just before he battled through a bunch of Asgardians on the way to fighting Odin.

Thanos had absolutely no visible injuries whatsoever. No cuts, no bruises. He didn't even talk as if he was taxed or exhausted from damage. Only his suit was a bit frazzled.

He was ready for more, and charged for more, then the fight got interrupted.

he seemed pretty messed up. He was smoldering and couldn't stand for a while. And while he might not have been cut or bruised I think they definitely portrayed him as being hurt. Odin in those scenes would be a good example of someone being uninjured. Thanos at the end there wouldn't be an example I would use personally to show someone being unhurt in a fight. Just my opinion though.

Thanos needed several panels just to stand back up, The only thing he was ready for was another beating.

So how long were those "several panels"?

So what ? He stood up and the fight wasn't over. The Fallen One has done a better job of damaging Thanos' clothes than Odin.

there is of course no way to prove exactly how long those panels were, but all logic and common sense would point to them being around a few seconds each. They were clearly showing someone who was blasted to the ground, hurt, struggling to stand. Why else would they go out of their way to draw so many panels of him struggling to rise if not to convey the message that it took him a little bit to get up. So granted there's no conclusive proof of how Long it took, all the evidence points to it being a couple sec per panel. There's no proof it didn't take two hours for him to stand either but logic would dictate otherwise. Thinking the panels represented less fraction of a second wth nothing but personal biased to justify it would be just as illogical.

FYI, it took Thanos exactly 7 panels to stand fully...

Panel 1: Thanos is down on his hands and knees conversing with Odin; there is dust and smoke everywhere; both characters are obscured by it...

Panel 2: Silence between the two, but enough time has passed for the dust and smoke to clear; both characters can now be seen clearly...

Panel 3: "Do you yeild villian?"

Panel 4: Thanos starts to rise...

Panel 5: Thanos is clearly struggling to stand...

Panel 6: Thanos is still shaken...

Panel 7: Thanos stands fully and says no...

So yeah, its clear that a significant amount of time passed between panels 1 and 7; definitely not hours, but several minutes for sure...

Which, of course, was more than enough time for Odin to drive Gungnir though the back of Thanos's exposed neck if he wanted to kill the helpless, defenseless, Thanos...

Read em and weep Quanchi; Thanos was lucky that Odin decided to spare his life:

Odin 1
Thanos 0

Thanos's own memories confirm what we all saw on panel as well:

That isn't Thanos. That's a clone. Odin never beat Thanos. Ever. 😉

The Thanosi had Thanos's memories, and it remembered being defeated by Odin, so clearly Thanos felt the same way...

Thanos lost, and again, his own memories confirm it:

Thanos stood. Odin relented first. Odin stopped fighting first so technically Thanos won.

Thanos lost to Odin in Warlock and the Infinity Watch #25; see that guy who is down on his hands and knees? Thats Thanos after getting his a@@ kicked by Odin:

So says the guy who claims that Sif saved Odins life from Thanos...

Tell the truth Quanchi, Thanos had Odin right where he wanted him in the following pic and was about to deliver the death blow to Odin...wasnt he?

😂

Nope. That's not true.
But, several panels do guy by where Odin is duking it out with the Silver Surfer, while Thanos stands and watches from where Thor is being held in stasis.

Then, Thanos goes in FRESH. And, I think it would take more out of you if you went against SS, than if you went through some low-level Asgardian fodder.

The rest, you know. Purple steaks, well done.
