Unless you're planning on using WW I don't see why he would use the same argument. Now that he's got a lot of scans together he can play around with his strategy. This ain't checkers this is chess.

He'll know who you pick and have a chance to counter. The other edge of the sword is that you can pick someone who counters Cable well, but then have to defend the belt with him. So picking a specialized character might not be the route to go since your title defense will be brief.
In all, I think you have a point, just not one that's big enough to be a problem. It will likely be slightly weighted against the current champion, but not enough that people can't hold their title...at least, imo. 1-v-1 matches can only be played out a certain number of ways anyway. It will be hard for any of us to come up with something truly unexpected.
For what it's worth, I'm OK with the idea of keeping Cable for my next match.
If we wanted players to keep the same character they win with but keep the matches dynamic, we could talk about allowing change for the rules of each match (ie add prep time, change battlefield/prep area, manipulate any of the variables that change between tournaments).
I do think that it's a big leap to assume I've used all my major arguments or 'ace cards' though. If Leo drafts well and trounces me with ease we should revisit this conversation, but let's see what happens first.

With a final vote count of 3-2, I'd say we gave a pretty good show for the first Title Match.

Well, I've been trying to get a tournament/battlezone event like this started for a while, unsuccessfully I might add. But then Don graciously asked me to help co-host this with him, so here I am.

I think it would be a good idea if you were to host the next match.
It's for the High Herald belt. It's abhil vs. Id , I'll pm you their character choices. Then after that all that's left is finding 3 judges and having them both agree on a battlefield.
