Well he said it was much less effective than the other video but I was confused as to what he meant.
Effective towards what? What is the video trying to do? From what I can tell, it shows that Mitt and Obama are very similar in their policies. I assume that the only thing this video can really effect is someones view on which candidate to choose from... so I asked Ini if he is in favor of one of these candidates. If he is, then is he referring to this video be less effective towards him not wanting to support them?
Makes sense when you use your brain. stoned

less effective as a piece of media
its uninteresting, boring, drawn out, the music doesn't fit, the format doesn't take advantage of the fact it is a video, etc.
Like, I could give you a critique of it, but that sort of feels like nit picking. Considering how tech savvy Paul's followers are, and the general high quality of the propaganda of his that is normally made, this was a low mark imho.
The commercials he did with the like animated letters were incredibly effective, as a comparison. The "If I wanted..." video, while inane, was an effective at keeping people's eyeballs. This, while making a point, doesn't draw me in at all.
EDIT:
this one, I found this very effective as a piece of media

They've done many Obama/Romney comparison videos, I wouldn't say all of them are from Paul supporters though. I guess I don't worry too much about the music and format, just the quotes. It isnt all that boring to me concidering the message.
Can't blame grass roots supporters from doing what the can with what they can work with. Again, only a drop in the pool of information stoned
Its not like it was professionally done by the campaign. 😛

Oh my bad man! Lol
Edit: I think I liked the other imagine speech better. Wasn't fond of the guys voice.
Edit2: Nvm that was the "What if" speech with metalica 😛

Fair enough, I can't honestly say it was all that revealing to me, as the overlap between Republican and Democratic policies is one of those weird elephants in the room nobody really talks about too often, so hearing the quotes to prove it really don't hold me. My attention span is also all of 4 seconds.

sure, not blaming anyone. I certainly can't make a better video than that... (my soundtrack would kick ass though)

I wasn't going to say anything about this, but I do actually want to clarify a couple things about who and why I support in the 2012 election.
So like, I may have reservations about some of Paul's specific policies (renegotiating civil rights for instance) or about Paul's beliefs as an individual with regard to minorities, gays or conpiricism, but overall his views are the closest to mine of any candidate. I'm sure I've said this before, but I think the worst part about a Paul presidency is that there is no real opposition in American politics that would oppose him on the ground that government can and should intervene to improve individual's conditions. Not that I think this ideology (or any) should be able to dominate Paul's policies, just that, no singular ideology will work, especially a radical one like Paul's brand of libertarianism.
So really, if we could export our NDP party to America to be a vocal and powerful opposition to extreme libertarianism, I'd say a Paul presidency may be incredibly successful, because it would force compromise on issues where it is likely that libertarianism goes too far toward individual responsibility. The way I see it, the Democrats are just too weak, and the Republicans too likely to just play the political power game to ever balance things properly.
Buddy Roamer actually appealed to me, but that may be because he was on Colbert 🙂. idk, I'd take lesser evil (Obama) if forced to choose, but the field looks entirely uninspiring for November.
Its just lazy English 😛

Roamer is good as well, has a pretty outspoken attitude too, he just didn't get much support. As well as Gary Johnson on the libertarian ticket.
