lol, Hulk has a little nosebleed, a completely trivial 'injury' and people are grabbing on to it as if it show the way to KO Hulk!
1) it's a superficial injury
2) he was not at all affected by it
3) he recovered from it quickly
Still the most important thing is, it came as a result of a sustained barrage by an alien armada, consisting of over a dozen ships. Each ship capable of blasting the shit out of Thor and the other Avengers.
That's the difference in durability and resilience between Hulk and Thor. One casually wades through jetfighter fire and alien armada barrages, the other ducks and hides to protect himself from such things.
As far as I can see, there is insufficient evidence in either movie to suggest Thor has the capacity to actually seriously harm Hulk. Whilst there is proof that Hulk would completely annihilate Thor if he were minded to do so.
Basically the difference in power between Hulk and Thor is the same as the difference in power illustrated in the animated Hulk vs Thor movie.
Originally posted by janus77Based on all his other showings Thor would take the alien armada barrage as well. He would probably come out slightly worse than Hulk but would still be fine.

I don't have the screen cap. But if your making the claim doesn't the burden of proof rest on you? Why yes, it does.Regardless, it's a bloody nose and in either case it's a small trickle of blood. Don't pretend that one wound is significantly worse than the other.
Actually, I was responding to your comment about the damage being the same.

Hulk did have a worse nose bleed than Thor, but considering what he took that's understandable.Anyway the reason for pointing out Hulk's nosebleed is only in response to people who say Hulk was completely invulnerable and could not be damaged.
Exactly, I never said it was a serious injury; just that it was worse than Thor's.

Few problems with this...I thought people mentioned the nosebleed to confirm that Hulk can be damaged. Something many posters claimed was not shown in the movie.
Thor has a defense against energy blasts unlike Hulk. So I don't know if that barrage would have worked against him. Unless of course you meant Thor just standing there like Hulk did. Even then we don't know if that barrage could actually kill him.
I don't think Hulk proved he had what it takes to KO Thor. He didn't even KO Loki.
Having said that its hard to prove Thor can actually KO Hulk or that he would get the time/space between themselves to do it. His flying speed was very fast so I dunno.

The movies are linked Jake. Part one ended with Hulk leaving the states due to Betty father tracking him knowing he was the Hulk. The second movie picks up where the first one stopped at. It starts with Hulk being overseas hiding from the General. They are one of the same. IIRC, Banner even have flash backs of events in the first movie.
Nope. He has flashbacks of a completely different accident that turned him into Hulk. Something more inline with the TV show than the first movie, though I do prefer 'Hulk' to 'The Incredible Hulk'.

I like Bana's Hulk a lot better than the weak arse 20 ton Norton Hulk who can't even heal. Plus I liked the movie better. The only thing better in Norton Hulk was Betty. The Betty in Bana Hulk sucked. It seemed that they were only friends and nothing more the entire film.
I'm with you about preferring Bana's Hulk over Norton's. Not so much with your Betty preference. I hated Liv's tiny, little girl, voice. Granted, Jennifer's Betty did mention they had a previous relationship that had ended because Bruce kept so much bottled up.

With that said, I don't recall seeing Iron Man shoot the ship when Hulk hits it. I saw the movie twice and yet I missed it twice? I guess a third time's a charm.
Yes it is! Indulge yourself. Call it research!

IMO, Hulk would own Thor since Thor will fight in character against the Hulk (a bashing fest with some lightning here and there). Now if Thor fought out of character he would beat Hulk. IMO, it appeared as if Hulk was invincible in the movie (couldn't even be damaged at all). Where Thor almost died from a long drop. Note: Terminal velocity was at most 200mph. So Thor hitting something at 200mph killing him is laughable.
I still don't think the fall would have killed Thor or even knocked him out. He did launch himself out the bottom of the canister directly into the ground where he bounced. I think the worse of it would've been the canister collapsing around him when it crashed rather than the fall itself.
The interesting thing is that with a casual Mjolnir blow, Thor cracked the container designed to contain Hulk. His second strike against it, when he was falling, shattered it effortlessly. Now, I'm not saying it could've held Hulk but that was it's design parameters.

Iron Man wasn't hit even once while flying around? And like Thor, but in much worse condition, he was still fighting at the end. Thor, especially armored Thor, only seemed to have been injured by the Asgardian dagger used on him by Loki. While Hulk was being buried and Cap was being gutshot (but admirably talking a good game), Thor was still on his feet and having fun.

LOL. Sorry. The link tangentially related to the post. Just something I heard about on a podcast. I just thought it was an interesting comparison between the various Hulks.
