RIGHT?!

Everything seems fine now. Level 5 Warlock and kicking ass.

Also, how do I interact with other players? Dance, point, wave, etc?

lol I was getting mad. I was lvl 5 and I could use my speeder but the slot was locked. Didn't unlock until I did the moon mission.

Aha. Nice to hear you got it working

D-Pad? Really? 😐

Multiplayer is tough to get the hang of, but fun. The English voice announcer is f*cking annoying as Hell.

How to level up faster in Destiny.

Whatcha mean tough? Hmm if the mp is the same as beta then the Auto Rifles, shotguns and snipers reign supreme. Pulse/Scout rifles are ass. Vehicles are OP. Hmm what else can I remember? Use the scout bike in big maps for better mobility.

Hunters are glass canons. Warlock's shields recharge faster and the Titan have the strongest shields. You should play accordingly because in MP hunters are weaksauce. They drop like flies. Not saying they suck though. They got other benefits.

Imma start over and switch to Warlock like I planned from the beginning.

I'm getting slaughtered in MP.

I seriously need to level up faster and buy better rifles.

The Moon and Mars maps are gorgeous, btw.

Not sure about this game. It's fun and the controls are spot on but I'm hoping it gets a bit more different. It's feels very samey.

I'm already liking Borderlands over this game. The online aspect is pretty cool though and the graphics are very good as well.

haven't been able to play much/past the playable parts of the beta. I haven't gone to the other planets and shit. However I really like the exploration aspect. I know I will lose lots of hours searching every single square meter in the maps looking for loots. I used to do it in Bungie's Halo campaigns for countless hours and this time there is incentive besides easter eggs and ammo.

I'm kinda on set with Smas.

The game is beautiful and tuned, but it's getting kinda tedious with not much character interaction and no way to talk to other players. That is, of course, players can use head sets to talk to one another and I just have t discovered how to yet.

Maybe it'll pick up soon. I really hope it does. I don't want to get burned out in one week or so.

You can talk to them on fireteams.

What's a fire team? Is that for campaign or strictly MP?

its everywhere. Just press start and use the shoulders to navigate. Go to roster and you should see a menu with fireteam/friends/game. You can join fireteams by pressing both shoulders next to a person I think.

I was playing for about 3 hours yesterday. I enjoyed my time. I do like exploring the area a lot. I think it's pretty cool.

But I don't understand why Bungie decided to fill the area with missions but there bullshit ones. Instead of filling it with missions like "kill 100% of enemies" or "find cave and explore" why couldn't they do something a bit more meaningful like Borderlands do. Makes no sense. Kind of ruins it for me.

As well, from what I read from developers/bloggers is that the story is on the backburner for the loot/explore area. If that's the true, it's kind of bullshit as well. Why create this extremely interesting backstory/setting and not have a good storyline to it. Again, Borderlands does this extremely well. It doesn't help that the first section of the game is extremely well done in regards to scripting/story.

I also don't like the idea that I can't pause the game. I understand the motive but I'm playing by myself so I should be able to pause.

This game does not feel like Halo, at all.

It feels like Borderlands and Mass Effect.

I played it for about 2 hours, yesterday. Level 4. Seems like the levels are too big for what it is trying to accomplish. Also, they should not have made it an MMO, now that I'm playing it, more. It takes away from the game. The game plays like a haunted house visit. Everyone is around you, experiencing the haunted house with you and they detract away from the experience.

I thought this game would be "MMO back at base but single player on most missions and required multiplayer on other missions." No. It's MMO on all missions all the time.

Also, the game suffers form losing a satisfactory clearing of enemies. They just respawn. Borderlands did this, too. I don't like it. There's no sense of accomplishment or conquering especially when the whole point of this game is to "retake" the lands from the Darkness. How so if everything respawns once you kill it?

The worst aspect of this game, of all, is that fact that you cannot skip cut scenes. What in the actual f*ck. This is 2014. Who wants to reply a mission and have to sit through the same cut scenes? Seriously, find me a single person that wants to sit through the same cutscenes 14 times and I'll find you either a retard or an autist.

But, the controls feel a bit laggy. Not sure why everyone keeps saying the controls are so good. They are not. Doom had better controls. There seems to be a certain built in lag on everything you do with your weapons. Like it is trudging along, every so slightly, behind on what you are doing. This is annoying if you're a manically fast berserker FPS player, like me.

And when you sprint, you don't sprint. You just jog very slightly faster but lose the ability to turn with any reasonable amount of effort. So here I am, a superhuman with superpowers and I lack the ability to run very fast and turn with any degree of sharpness (while running). Who would have thought futuristic superhumans would actually be slower than me?

And then the grind. Seems too grindy. They want players to treat this like Diablo II or III by replaying "dungeons" to get better loot. I guess it is sort of like Borderlands, too? I do not like this idea in video games. Random loot generation is not kosher. BUT, what this game is better about than Borderlands is it gives you the same loot for the same name and version of that weapon. What a relief. Instead of a trillion combinations, you have a much narrower scope on what you can get from a mission and, therefore, can farm a mission more accurately (because if you do not get that rare helmet that gives you +154 armor, you know it didn't spawn the best helment, yet....compare this to Borderlands where a mission can spawn a specifically named sniper rifle that could have damage, ammo, fire rate, and accuracy ranging all over the place).

I thought about asking for a refund on this game. But then I realized I was an idiot for considering that.

I will continue playing it until I am done with the game. Perhaps I can get together with a team as I play this more and more and that will make it fun. Dunno.

Rating:

4 out of 10. Biggest disappoint in all of video gaming history, ever.

So I managed to get through the Venus story lines and I'm halfway through level 19 now.

I play an Exo Titan baby and I feel like a murder machine unleashed!

Some notes the Fusion Rifle in MP is really good. People kill me more with that than anyother weapon.

I love just flying around on my sparrow on the maps.

And on more than one occasion I found myself having my character sit down and stare at the beautiful scenery around me.

Everything is better when you play with a fireteam.
