Why would Goku need something like that? Superman doesn't fight like that and that's also a very high-end showing. Show Superman utilizing his speed like that in fights, not things that no herald should be able to do. Plot called for it, PIS, and all that junk.

That's not what I was meaning to say, though that is still a fair point imo. What I wanted to say in my above post was: feats of that level shouldn't be done by herald-level charactters. You will not find any non-"mainstream" herald level character do anything of that level, even though they could be more powerful than Superman in general. Basically, such feats only there for plot. PIS. Super high-end feats should be disregarded, same as low-end feats.

What speedster has Superman actually blitzed? I know he's blitzed Mogul, Imperiex Probes, and some Doomsday versions here and there, but scans of him blitzing any actual speedsters? He's read some books at high speeds, seen some things in slow motion, and rebuilt some cities, but of him using his speed against bricks who are slaughtering him and everyone dear to him (Shaggyman, Doomsday). So post up some feats beside his fight with Wonder Woman where they go a bit faster than light.
As for Goku, in the early parts of Namek Saga, he was able to casually blitz Recoome, Jeice, and Burter who were all massively hypersonic. That's him at <200,000 power level; by the end of the Name Saga, his power level was over 120,000,000. In the Cell Games, Goku had a massively faster than light combat speed feat:

His speed by the end of the manga as a SSJ3 would be leagues above what he was capable of as a SSJ1. So massively faster than light without ignoring any on-panel showings 🙂
Edit: Since you don't want to ignore ANYTHING at all, then how about part 1 Roshi's Kamehameha blast reaching the moon in less than a second? That's light speed or slightly above. I generally consider that an outlier, but it did happen, right?

Goku used Instant Transmission just before Cell's Kamehameha hit him. Cell's Kamehahema traveled ~twice the earth's diameter before Goku got to Cell. It traveled a great distance in an "instant." It's quantifiably much faster than light since Goku traveled many light years in an "instant" with that technique. Put two and two together.
As for Roshi's feat, these people could have spars with each other in 0.2 seconds. He shot the blast as ape Goku was about to hit him and the moon was destroyed before the kid could get his hands on Roshi. Put two and two together.
And everything in these fights do actually take place in a fraction of a second.
