Scorpion takes control of Trigon's army? Badass. Raven mad now!
Kinda wish now though that there had been a meter burn version to his flip kick.. And I laugh now whenever I interact with the motorcycle at the Wayne Manor with Scorpion because well... Ghost Rider. lol
Maybe you have to get the season pass to activate him? or maybe he will be up for official download tomorrow...
I really don't know though. I remember when the first comp pack came out. The first day you could only get it by buying the teen titans skin pack. The next day the comp pack was up by itself. So maybe Scorpion is included in the recent Comp Pack but since you don't have the season pass they will put up "Scorpion" tomorrow to buy but its actually an unlock and not actually the character.

Meh, after seeing the amount of different special moves and stuff they gave to Batgirl (a lot compared to your usual character), am I the only one who feels Scorpion's movepool is well... underwhelming in comparison? I mean they could've given him a new special or two that he never had before in an MK game, or something. Not that he's bad in the game as he is, but he is perhaps leaving a little something to be desired.

but that a little of what I thought worked for him honestly. Hes more on par with the standard in game characters.

After starting to play with him on a little more advanced level now, my favorite combos with him are
113 teleport, 113 spear MB, 112 flip kick
b3, j2, b12, spear MB, f113 leg takedown
wall combos-
112 trait, 112 spear MB, 112 flip kick
b2, 3, 112 trait, 113 spear MB, 2u3 leg takedown
Easiest ones for me to remember atm anyway.
1 = light
2 = medium
3 = heavy
MB= meter burn
And so forth.

I think Scorpion has a bit too much going for him here. His Hellfire and MB teleport are unblockable(Crouch blocking doesn't work). Combined with his spear, anti-air, air grab, and an attacking teleport that leads to combos anywhere on the screen....

Despite scorpion taking up a valuable slot that could otherwise be taken by an actual DC comic character how does everyone like him? He comes off as a brawler and it lends to my play style rather well.
Now I hear ppl wanting sub-zero..eh..wtf really? The non diehard DC/comic fans are making it really hard for us here.
I agree on the first bit, and yeah. The "There is no justice!" line shows the anti-hero side of his character in a rather cool way. And I already expressed my take on his inclusion and playstyle in the last couple pages or so, so yeah. 😛
Subzero? We've already got an ice character in the game though, and a telekinetic one, and an aquatic one... Definitely don't need another MK character, much less ones like Subzero, Rain, or Ermac whose powers are remotely similar to characters we already have. If we do get any of them over another DC character, I'll just blame those certain "fans".
The day Scorpion was revealed Boon made multiple tweets saying that Scorpion would be the only guest character. Now before someone says he said this wouldn't have MK characters, that was just twisted out of context. He mentioned they were trying to keep the gameplay different and differentiate it from MK, but never did he say in the exact words that there wouldn't be an MK character in this game. People just assumed that.

What I said was they said they wanted to separate it from mortal kombat. They wanted to make it different. While they did do that it was my comment that "putting scorpion in it really shows how they want to separate it from MK."
EDIT: I also think its safe to say it wasn't entirely expected before the rumor. Honestly I didn't even give it thought. Then the rumor came out and I thought "I hope not" lol Then I started thinking that the rumor was started by hopeful MK fans so I didn't tend to believe it.
@SevenShackles: I find other then my complaint of him taking up a slot there really isnt anything to complain about. Hes not "OP" in fact he really feels on par with the rest of the roster. If they make another MK I would kind of like this Scorpion in it.
@Ridley_Prime: I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to add SubZero but I really doubt they do. As KCJ506 said Ed said Scorpion was to be the only guest. Then again how many times do game company's say something then change their mind lol. I hope they give use a second set of characters though.
