Awesome trailer to kick us off.

Gabriel's badass. Pity we won't get to play with him if it is set during the time period shown in the teaser. Looks like that white-haired person will be the new protagonist instead. Alucard?

****ing awesome, I hope that's alucard.

Looks cool but I want to see video from the actual *gameplay* (btw, this isn't a knock against you Phoenix, I appreciate the share).
But I hate it when companies release a game with great cut scenes and when you go to buy it / rent it the graphics of the actual game sucks.

Assuming the graphics are on the same level as the first game, this shouldn't be a problem.

Plot from the official site:

In Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, the origin of Dracula and his legendary connection with the Belmonts was revealed. In Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, fans can expect thrilling new twists and challenges. In this shocking conclusion to the Lords of Shadow saga, Dracula returns once again, weakened and yearning for release from his immortal bonds. Facing a new and powerful threat, the vampire lord must reacquire his old powers – and only his castle holds the key. However, the famed Belmont clan also seek his ultimate destruction.

Still haven't played the first one of this, i'll get around to it eventually.

So is this set in 1999?

Considering they are still using knights, no.

Don't know if I should have made a new thread for this one, but if someone else wants to, go ahead.

Want.

Do want.

I do hope that is Alucard.

It's confirmed. The White-haired person who confronts Dracula at the end of the video, is Alucard.

~ Alucard is probably a resurrected Trevor Belmont.

Will Patrick Stewart and Robert Carlyle reprise their roles?

Not sure about Patrick Stewart, but Robert Carlyle voices Dracula in Mirror of Fate. He's confirmed to be voicing him in Lords of Shadow 2 as well.

Awesome.

I do hope that we see Zobek's return, though.

Premiere of a gameplay will be shown soon.

The sequel is the concluding part of the franchise reboot, following the adventures of an older Gabriel Belmont, who has now become Dracula himself, armed with a “Blood Whip.

” As such, the red stuff plays an important role in the game, acting essentially as magic. By defeating enemies using varied combos and precise timing, while also not taking damage, you’ll fill a meter which once full will ensure that every hit dishes out some blood.

The blood can then be spent on powers called “Void” and “Chaos.” Void can be used to summon a sword that regenerates health every time you deal damage, while Chaos gives Gabriel claws that can bust through enemy shields. Both these skills can be levelled up.

Additional abilities include being able to transform into mist in order to dodge enemies and slip through barriers, while you can also “glamour” mortals and control them.

You also have full camera control, boss battles will be longer and more memorable, and the world will be more seamless, meaning presumably that there are less loading screens to deal with this time out.

Shame, I liked the 'book' setup of the first game, even if it broke up the flow.

Bring it on. Loved the initial video which demonstrates Gabriel's increased power which I correctly ascertained.

I forgot this was even coming out

been so quiet thought it was coming to the Next gen consoles.
