"Distract them" from the words of Cap. "Hold your appetite", from the words of Thor. Thanos even states they sent Hulk as an distraction. Nothing was said on Hulk being able to or not being able to take anyone out. Cap gave orders and Hulk did exactly what Cap sent him out there to do.

You are totally ignoring the context of what thor said, he was smiling and said it as words of encouragement. If hulk could take thanos out by himself cap would have told him to do that but since thanos is far to big a threat for just hulk alone. He told hulk to distract him basically just because he knew he would not be able to take him out on his own, he means fight thanos until help arrives basically. Hulk could not even distract him properly because all thanos had to do was swat him away and then thanos underlings kicked hulks ass and he needed to be saved.
Thanos has never once fought the Hulk on his own. The Hulk that Thanos slapped out of the air is not the one being used in this thread. With that being said No character below a Sky Father is going to beat the brakes off of the Green Scar without having to go through hell in order to do it. Thanos is apparently going to finally have it out with the Hulk in a little while, and if he is unable to defeat the current incarnation of the Hulk on panel, there is simply no way that he would defeat the Green Scar if he refused to hold back. I'll just sit back and see how that goes.
If Thanos wins, no one should ever bring up how the Hulk would be able to do this and that, and the same applies to Thanos. The window will finally be closed on all of the hoopla.

If Thanos was too far big of a threat, why would Cap send Hulk out there by himself? If you was a Captain, would you send your recruit to take out 12 lions by himself? Think about it. He sent Hulk out because he had confidence in his power level.

But at that level of strength, any character of the Hulk's weight would be swatted. This is in no way meant to lessen the deft maneuver that Thanos used to distance himself from the Hulk, but Wonder Man or the Thing possesses the amount of strength to fling 1,500 lbs or less away with ease. It was a confrontation, and nothing more. To date, Thanos has never had it out with the Hulk. His punching power is nothing to sneeze at, since he put beta Ray bill on his back with very little effort. The hulk will have to outperform this feat, or it's certainly going to be curtains for him.

I also enjoyed that badly drawn wince, see the way it curves down at the end, i dont think it is a smile i think it is a wince...his eyes are clenched shut like eyes do when you wince, it curves down at the end which is not what happens when you smile and hulk is lifting himself back up.

Who are you lying to. Thanos told them to take care of the Hulk. Thanos was hedged in, and he never once fought the Hulk for any period of time on his own.

Eyes heavily clenched to the point where his forehead is scrunched together, his "smile" goes down hard at the end, he is pushing himself off the ground, i think those might be the signs of a wince.
I could be wrong but that is what it looks like to me.
