Except he did against Xenith. He lasted a good while unlike Vulcan who got his face punched in and lost. Xenith stalemated Kallark in their fight during WOK: King Breaker. Nova would do far better than Vulcan.

Uuuummm, Vulcan is one of the best energy manipulator in comics and Nova is a energy user. If Nova even plans on winning even 4 matches, he is going to have to fight like he's never fought against anyone before or everything he does could possibly reversed against him.

He can manipulate powers, but Nova's skilled at using the power he has.
Moonstone was way more powerful at gravity manipulation. One compressed grav pulse was all it took to take her down.

It went more like this. Nova was working her until he got distracted by brother Robbie. He just messed with her Stronthian ability to psionically enforce their strength to cut the fight short.

Nova was even drawing blood.
Although from the dialogue, he probably wasn't doing all that much damage. The Stronthian seemed more amused than threatened.

U can also see it as her actually liking the pain. She is one crazee biatch after all. After the distraction with Robbie, we find that the brief change in momentum was greatly influenced by the fact that Richie was using his built in database for a quick resolution.

^^^ Celey has them. But yeah, if a dude is reading his computer while you're punching him then that's prolly a good indication that you're outclassed. Plus he didn't even amp up with more Nova force to fight her. He fought her at his base levels and was also sharing his power with a large number of centurians. As we saw with Super Nova during the Star lost arc, even the power of a single centurian can make a big difference to the whole.
