I agree Wonder Woman's just as important to get right as MOS if they're serious about a JL movie and producing multiple successful superhero franchises like Marvel is doing.

But I don't think GL has to be seen as such a big set back. End of the day they messed up. They have to learn from that and move on. The Incredible Hulk was a failure for Marvel (even though I actually like that movie) but they didn't just let that set them back. Not when they had such a big hit with Iron Man.

The Incredible Hulk might have underperformed, but it righted the ship and put Hulk in the continuity that Marvel Studios wanted. Green Lantern, they are likely going to start over for the next time (and they really need too, for the amount of stuff that got screwed up.)

I can't see them not rebooting Green Lantern, tbh. I'm guessing that if we do actually get another solo movie, though, it'll only be after an actual jla movie.

I'd like them to reboot GL with OA and the like having more of a technological look than organic. I always imagined a Green lantern movie looking similar to how Tron Legacy turned out.

GL just needs to be Hal + Sinestro in space. With Sinestro as mentor (a good guy the entire first movie).

The graphic novel Green Lantern: Secret Origins by Geoff Johns, would have been a much better first film effort, with a stepping stone villain like Atrocious and Hal making friends with Sinestro, for the time being. I just couldn't believe how much the movie cheapened Parallax. Galactus, the malevolent 'cloud' from the second FF movie, got treated better than that.

Lol at Warner Bros. They can make something like this and yet can't get any other superhero pics (other than you know who) done right?

Well at least Del Toro's DC movie is something to look forward to.

I haven't listened to any of it myself so I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I found this on my facebook page.

"David Goyer, talks with Empire Magazine's podcast about WHY the movie was named the way it was and more! Begins at 44:32 and goes on for a bit."

I think MOS will set the tone for future super hero pics. If it's done right, of course. MOS looks epic and definitely top 3 SH movie material. Hopefully the trailers aren't misleading.

I'm assuming we'll know more about a JL movie at SDCC, right after the MOS movie.

I've now heard from at least four different filmmakers who have seen the movie who are positively rabid to make the sequel. They are all rooting for Zack Snyder to take on the challenge of "Justice League" so the director's chair will be wide open for "Man Of Steel 2" and "Man Of Steel 3" and on and on.

lol

More on hitfix, including this cool quote.

General Zod sets a very high bar for whatever villains we'll see further down the line in this franchise, and at least part of that is because "Man Of Steel" makes a strong case for Zod's point of view.

So I was reading around... and I saw that, in one of the Man Of Steel trailers Zod destroys a satellite and there was a 'Wayne' logo on the satellite.

that may or may not be true

Cool if it says Wayne.
Funny if it says Stark.
