Black Adam takes on the team of Jason Rusch and Ray Terrill.

Ray's an energy being. Adam won't even be able to hurt him.

He's pretty much the only character in DC who Lobo walked away from continuing a fight with, after Ray got right in his face begging him to try something..

Guy couldn't even take Adam when he had dozens of heroes around him.

I don't see how Adam will take down even Ray. He is immune to physical attacks.

Shazam bolt? It being mystical energy, might mess with him. I have no clue if Ray's resisted that type of attack or not, though.

The bolt would have to hit Ray and Ray is a LOT faster than Lightning. He can go FTL speeds.

Actually, I recall something along the lines of the Shazam bolt being faster than lightning if it needs to. Billy was turning into Cap, Flash didn't know what was really going on, and thinks he's saving a kid from being struck by lightning. The bolt changes direction, follows Flash, catches up to him and still hits Billy. But I could be misremembering.

Also, how is Ray FTL if he turns into energy?

How is light faster than light?

If Ray turns into tachyons or something like that, fine, but light being faster than light doesn't make sense even for comics.

Ray can control more energy types than photons, though.
