The Drain happens to be able to end almost any confrontation with other Force Users at the start of the fight, and among Sith and Jedi he has maybe the best telekinetic feat in the setting. He also can enslave the minds of those around him over time, making them hollow and thoughtless beyond serving his will, with his presence.

Plus, he does have Force Lightning. And while you could argue that it was only average in potency... Well it would be kinda dumb.

So he has a full set of Sith powers.

Why is he a stupid villain?

Idk, I just thought he was stupid. The whole, "I survived weapon of mass destruction, killed a planet, ripped a ship from a gravity well with my mind, and can kill anybody I wish, enslave the rest, then go and rape their planets life force. Im gonna sit around the edge of space." thing. I thought, "wtf? Your that stupid?"
And he just seemed.... stupid. Its hard to explain. But I disliked Sion as well. "MY ANGER KEEPS ME ALIVE!!!!!!!! RAWRRRRRRRR!" made Mr. Sleeps-With-Vibroblades not as appealing. Traya, well, I appreciated their attempt at it, but tbh I saw it coming. Like I said, I didn't like the story too much, but rather I played it over and over for the gameplay.

Yoda may catch his lightning but will be dead some seconds later. The example of Revan is in front of you who was also adept at handling Force Lightning, arguably more so then Yoda.

More power channeled in to the bolts; greater the chance to subdue or destroy the adversary.

But they appeared to be drawn to Yoda's hands. Meaning the number won't really matter.

Well Windu isn't a practitioner of Tutaminis to my knowledge. He's never caught lightning bare-handed. Revan has, with Nyriss' extremely potent lightning, but was unable to do the same with Vitiates.

But Vitiate needed to charge up his lightning to overpower him, and even then it was stupid of Revan to try and catch it with his hands.

Is this really a viable argument? Yeah, he zapped him, after Anakin cleaved off his hand. It seems that Yoda was one of the few capable of actually catching lighting in-hand; Windu basically became defenseless once he was sans his gripper, not to mention that beyond the pain he was trying to deal with Anakin's betrayal and the horrible acting with which the scene was being carried out 💃
