Jason Aaron re: Thor -

With this book I wanted to combine everything I like about Thor. … There are vikings in there, I love viking stories. I love young Thor, so we see young, foolhardy, brash, long-haired, rowdy Thor. He drinks a lot, he screws lots of viking women, he gets in fights on Midgard. He's not even worthy enough to lift the hammer yet, so he has a big ass axe that he carries around. Then I like crazy cosmic stuff. I like big cities of the gods and space gods. So we see present-day Thor all journeying through the Marvel Universe encountering all that kinda stuff. … I'm doing a King Thor story, where you see old King Thor thousands of years in the future -- he's got one eye, one arm missing. We don't know what's happened to Asgard, it's been devastated, he's there alone. He's still got his beat up old hammer and, you know, the Odin Sword. So we see all these three different versions of Thor, in three different eras, all tied together by one new villain, this mysterious serial killer of gods who's traveling the universe butchering, slaughtering gods in the shadows for reasons we don't quite understand yet. And he's got a very specific grudge against Thor for some reason, as well.

Neat.

Someone's actually trying.

Aaron is the guy responsible for most of Thor's concussions. Just thought I'd let you guys know 😂

Anyone read the end of journey? That really stinks 😮

Consequences wasnt bad this week. Gillen might be able to salvage it.

Liked Punisher War Zone. I can see myself picking it up next time.

Did they make it believable without it looking like PIS/CIS is in full swing?

Allegedly, Dan Slott spoiled via Twitter the identity for the new Superior Spider-Man as being

Spoiler:
Miguel O'Hara aka Spider-Man 2099
.

That is awesome as both, a trolling or as a legit plot.

Would really like to see all the 2099 stuff make a return.

Here is the new face of the Marvel Universe....ta da

Might end up finish getting Journey Into Mystery with Kieron Gillen finishing his run and go with that Young Avenger's which he will be doing.

twitter is always truthful.. also kind of makes no sense for them spoil it just like that.. will wait and read first issue though

I see Morbius is getting his own book.

So, any specific titles/relaunches jumping out to anyone?

I'm more excited for the Avengers stuff than I have been since the first volume of New Avengers-
Uncanny #1 was good and if it's as good as Remender's other stuff it should keep that up.
Hickman Avengers (especially NA with the illuminati) seem like they won't disappoint
Gillen is generally awesome so I'm hopeful for Young Avengers
And Secret seems like an interesting idea but more importantly has Taskmaster as a team member so I'm reading that for sure.

Hopefully Guardians will be good but idk, cautious optimism there, same with Spectacular Spider Man as it's still Slott writing it.

Hopefully Avengers Assemble starts getting better with Bendis finished up on it

Besides some of the Avengers books, Thor & Iron Man.

Thor is the only one that's grabbed me so far.

I'll try Bendis on X-Men out of morbid curiosity.

I feel sorry for the shops who got stuck with a crap load of unsold copies of Marvel Now books. 🙁

Well really it's not like a dramatic reboot like DC did, Marvel Now is basically just lots of #1's of books already existing.

Think it's a tad early to judge the success/or lack there of though
