Lol. Is this the way of all hardcore fans? Are we doomed to fall off, one by one?

Related: Outside a trip to see my friend at my original-home comic shop while visiting family, where I bought some stuff, I haven't read a comic in about 3 months. I'm pretty sure my knowledge of comic characters for the rest of my life is going to be cut off sharply at post-Flashpoint and Marvel Now.

I'd been considering coming back if Marvel Now was decent. Thor looked interesting, Iron Man was a solid read, and I thought maybe, just maybe, I could give it a shot.

Then they pull shit like this. I think it's better to just give up than to give them any more of my time; disappointment can only pile up so much.

And to think, as far back as 1988, I was being brought to comic shops every second saturday to pick up a new issue of surfer or x-men. I actually looked forward to that.

Now... I just have to hope DC don't **** me over.

Heh. Sounds kinda familiar. I jumped shipped on DC almost as thoroughly when DCnU repeatedly stole my enthusiasm..

I'd consider sticking with Doctor Who (awesome Star Trek crossover happening now-ish) and staying with Spidey (with the 2099 stuff, does he even have his own book in Marvel Now?). But that might be it at this point, which is sad. The new Thor book does seem cool, but historically I've never been able to stay with Thor titles for extended periods. JSA and Authority were once on the can't-cut list as well, but DC went and ended them for me, effectively cutting in half the number of books that I "had" to follow at all times.

I still tend to look at it as a cool thing to be into though. Through KMC, I stay abreast of new titles and might sporadically pick some up. And I'll follow writers like Ellis and Gaiman until they stop writing comics. But my days of following multiple ongoings are likely over.

If that cover could be anymore....ugh.

You have Cap, Ironman, Hulk, and......Spiderwoman. Meanwhile Thor recuperates in the infirmary?

😂

Seriously, Thor should retire.

I guess I was just lucky then, that DC's reboot chose to do right by the characters I do like. Don't know how long that will last, though, with Johns leaving Aquaman.

You said it.

He's going to turn Magneto and Magik into Thor and Strange in the Avenger's books. Big time jobbers. From powering celestials and one- shotting juggernauts under Gillen, to getting knocked out by goons and ninjas.

Can't wait to see the 4 them all swapping jokes at the breakfast table... 🙁

I think the time has come. He needs to be removed one way or another.

So the plan is simple. We kill the Bendis.

First we need to kill his loyal bodyguard and boyfriend, Luke Cage.

We'd risk retaliation from Lord Rand if we killed his herald though...

You have to beat Lord Rand, Clint, Luke, Spider-Woman, and Squirrel Girl.

Good luck.

I might be....its not that hard to do stay away from the bad books then again it might be for you

Well lets take a look at the way your thinking

Hmmmmm this Iron Man is interesting from the first issue, but on the other hand they're doing that with Scott & Emma........."Marvel go **** yourselves not going to bother with you anymore"
