Awful. He was awful on Astonishing X-Men and Ghost Rider too. The best thing he has done is probably Bullseye: Greatest Hits... which isn't that good.
The most frustrating thing about Way's Deadpool is that there's been moments where he has shown that he has the capacity to write a great Deadpool and understand the character, but then ruins it 90% of the time by using the multple personality narration boxes and needless stupidity. I mean yes, Deadpool can be an idiot and should be involved in absurd plots, but Way seems to have a problem with knowing where to stop.
For example, his initial Deadpool story that was in Origins was pretty awesome, mainly due to the fact he wrote a fairly good Deadpool vs Wolverine action scene that lasted 3 issues, and then gave a great look into DP's head when he lectured Wolverine.
And throughout his own series there have been some great moments and storylines which had potential, but the fact they're few and far between is incredibly frustrating.
On another note, I wish they had just let Rucka carry on writing his Punisher series and not including Punisher in this Thunderbolts stuff, it's been brilliant so far and probably the best take on the character since some of Ennis' stuff.
Marvel goes Battle Royale/Hunger Games

I would like this, but the fact that it's an event where literally the purpose is to kill off characters and Marvel's unapologetic about it turns me off. Death is already tarnished in Marvel with the knowledge that anyone can come back, but still, killing characters for the sake of killing them doesn't strike me as good storytelling.

Just because you want non-stop action in each book.
Actually no, but if there was a book were there was supposed to be non-stop action its a Punisher book. He's called The Punisher and taking out bad guys is what he does for a living, he's not Dr Strange.
However the reason why Punisher books get cancelled is because thats all The Punisher does, kill badguys. I think it was popular for awhile but it got kinda old. If people want a Punisher book to last they have to create more depth to the character, that is actually possible but nobody seems to be willing to do it.
Rucka's writing isn't actually bad but I don't want to read a book that focuses on other characters. The title of the book is Punisher not Rachel Cole or Detective Otto.
Focusing on other characters is a good idea but are you trying to tell me that this sort of writing is appropriate for this kinda of book as an on-going series indefintely?
Anyone seen that other Avengers book
Avengers Arena, its basically something like Battle Royale
