James has said on his Facebook that there won’t be a Guardians of the Galaxy’ trailer this year. The reason is they are “early in the process of visual effect shots and need to make Rocket and Groot look as awesome in all the trailer shots as they will in the movie.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Trailer Is Fantastic; Description Of Lee Pace & Ronan Read
Posted By admin on December 3rd, 2013
Not too long ago, James Gunn let it be known that the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer will be coming soon, and now that looks to be the case as a source within the industry has provided Cosmic Book News some tidbits of information.

The source has a friend who has seen the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer and describes it as “fantastic.”

The trailer will also feature a first look at the villain of the film with Lee Pace as Ronan, serving as an admiral to Thanos, the Mad Titan from The Avengers movie mid-credit scene.

There has been some discussion amongst fans about how close James Gunn will be keeping with the Marvel comic books, but in regards to the look of Ronan, I’ve been told Ronan looks dead on from the comics

Dave Bautista posted this, the first promotional image, I suppose...

I'm excited for this movie. This picture looks pretty good.

I seen alot of the comments on facebook, lots of naysayers expecting this to be Marvel's first bomb.

It's probably because it's an outer space movie. I have no idea how it'll do and I'm only familiar with the Guardians from Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but I'll still watch it and expect a good film.

Whats being in outer space got to do with it?......worked good for Star Wars.

Keeping it on earth is "supposed" to make it more relatable and grounded. Guardians of the Galaxy also has a talking racoon and a talking tree. It's kind of ridiculous if you are a part of the general audience. I believe this is the reason Green Lantern was based on earth instead of space. It's also part of the reason Green Lantern sucked. I believe Guardians of the Galaxy will be good as long as it takes itself more seriously than Iron Man 3 and some of Thor: The Dark World. Iron Man had the tone for a non-dark superhero down pact.

And yet, outside of Facebook users, all of the media reports about the film expect it to be the most pleasant surprise of the summer, and a big hit.

Marvel has built carefully towards this, through the Thor series and the Avengers. I think the ground has been laid more carefully than DC & Warners did with Green Lantern.

The only thing that bothers me about this movie is the guy playing Drax...

Dave's been getting posiitive feedback from the other cast members for his performance in the movie

Also, Dave Bautista's performance in the film apparently received nothing but high praise from other Guardians cast members:

“Every single person we spoke to on the set talked about how blown away they were by what Bautista has been doing with the role.”

If that pic is accurate, Zoe's body is stacked! Looks like she hit the weights.

Here's a high res picture of that one

Definitely getting good, the Usual Suspects, vibes from that picture.

If they can bring the attitude they're showing in that pic to the rest of the movie, it should be pretty decent.

Hope they look better on screen. Yikes.

^What don't you like?

I'm interested to hear too.

Me too

possibly no sequel for zoe saldana ...

Zoe Saldana is aging fast. Hm.

So apparently, no cameo for Stan Lee in this.

I know his rule of thumb has been if they are shooting the movie outside of North America, he won't do a cameo. His age and a lengthy flight seems to be the reason. But he did bend that rule for the London shot Thor: The Dark World.
