Looks pretty good. Far better than that mid-credit scene in Thor:TDW would imply. Nebula in particular looks bad ass.

Meh, pretty much only Comic Con footage. Was hoping for something new. Oh well.

I'm actually disappointed. I was expecting a star warsy vibe, not a Disney cartoon vibe.

Marvel needs to learn when to tone down the comedy

I agree, Marvel really does need to tone down the humor in their recent films.

Still, it's hard to gauge how much humor will be in the film based only on the trailer. I'm hoping there isn't a ton of it in the film. But, more importantly the humor in the trailer works for me and doesn't seem overdone.

In all fairness the DnA run that this seems to be mainly inspired by was really comedic in parts, as was the Giffen mini that started this version of the team.

The movie could still be great. Trailer doesn't impress me though

Not really. All the bios were leaked and a good chunk of those shots were in the CC trailer.

Well i only ever seen the leaked one

and it had parts of the trailer in it.

The movie is getting a tie-in prelude with Abnett and Lanning returning (yeah i know its old news going by the date)

Considering all this trailer is is an introduction to the characters. The characters have personality, so that's good. As far as the tone of the movie being comical, we don't know yet, not based on 2 minutes worth of footage.

While I'll admit that the tone from the trailer doesn't exactly match the rest of the Marvel movies, a movie like this has to have a sense of humor. I mean, Rocket is a rambunctious raccoon for crying out loud. I'm still looking forward to this.. I hope it'll be fun.

The tone is not surprising. Marvel has generally taken the more "fun" tone to their movies, whilst DC/WB has taken the more serious tone with theirs (with the exception of GL which didn't work for them).

DC/WB could try having a fun tone at times in their movies.

Which is frankly weird as Superman at least needs to have some level of fun.

I'm considerably less hyped for this movie. That said, I'm still looking forward to cap 2 and its MAoS crossover
