(on a side note, a funny example I saw the other day on Marvel.fans: someone claimed regular Thor could take one Celestial, but more than one might be a problem, as they would overwhelm him). Even Carver isn't that stupid.
As far as Gladiator vs Pre Reboot Black Adam, you'd have to be on drugs to think Gladiator is going to win.
And if it's post reboot BA, I'm not really sure what there is to debate.

In a h2h fight with an average Gladiator then BA wins, but the problem here is HV (which is BA's weakness as shown). Also freeze breath is a major problem too. The last problem is that Glads has shown a major increase in power. The fact that he engaged a being who pinky Thor's swing shows he might be above BA physically. BA can't finger Thor's swing, not even Superman can do that I think.

Gladiator is weak-willed and inconsistent. He is like a crackhead who is able to run fast when he is on a high.
Gladiator may be on a confidence high lately, but I think recent events will rectify that. If not, then somebody else will.
Black Adam is too severe, ruthless and punishing for him. It would take it's toll and Gladiator would go down.

Glads fighting at his best will be in this forum fight. That means he will use his combat speed, freeze breath, and HV in the fight. Those would pose big problems for BA (especially the HV and freeze breath).
If you disregard current showings and disallow Glads HV and freeze breath while equalizing speed then it would be a slight majority to BA.
But in light of current events (Glads is much more powerful) and in light of HV and freeze breath and somewhat extra combat speed then it is clear that Glads wins the majority.

based on what exactly? what feats of heat vision put gladiator's heat vision on top of martian manhunter? gladiator was able to burn hulk to the core however it took him some time and hulk wasnt really hurt from that he overpowered the heat vision and owned gladiator, cyclops while not tapping into the phoenix force was matching gladiator's heat vision with his optic blast, when he did tap into the phoenix force he wrecked gladiator, martian manhunter on the other hand was able to hurt both black adam and superman with his heat vision so anyone that actually read comics realise that martian manhunter heat vision feats wtfstomp gladiator's.
combat speed which didnt prove to even match black adams, as i pointed out black adam matched a not holding back superman, fought off a group of heralds all having super speed, what are gladiator combat speed feats again?
his heat vision is useless in this fight he will get probably 1 chance to use it on bl;ack adam until black adam close the distance and i dont see it hurting him based on his feats with the heat vision i mentioned before.
same goes for his freeze breath.
black adam can use his lightning on gladiator also.

anyway, black adam has feats such as beating groups of heralds, matching and even supress superman and captain marvel, beating top tiers left and right, gladiator on the other hand always goes down to top tiers, lets also mention both superman and captain marvel are stronger faster and more durable than any foe gladiator got his ass kicked by, basically you got a high herald reaching to low trans levels vs a mid herald this is a no brainer.
