Wow. Never realized such a different perspective could exist, let alone that I would read it here.
I considered Hulk getting angrier and more frustrated because that unit consistently kept making noise, yes, but Hulk, who thought SUPERMAN was responsible for that noise, was getting upset about not being able to knock Superman out/away/etc thus getting rid of that noise. Insults to Hulk's strength, intentional or not, historically tend to make him madder.
