What sort of effect do you imagine being "frozen" would have on cosmic being that largely operates in the vacuum of space? Even ignoring the whole fiery bird part of the power.

The Phoenix is always surrounding Namor...don't get why freezing would work.Prime froze Superman and he didn't shatter.

And what makes you think that the Phoenix won't be able to reform him back from those "microscopic pieces" ? The Phoenix has proven matter manipulation powers and it didn't have any problem with reforming Emma .

I'm way behind in this, and skipped right to the latest issue because it had Iron Fist smacking down Namor. 😄

Has any of the Phoenix's been KOed by force?

Neron got knocked around a lot in Underworld Unleashed, but nothing really seemed to hurt him.. I can totally see the Phoenix Force making someone impossible to kill/seriously injure, just like Charnel was to Minon/Deaths Head II, no matter how many times he blasted or stabbed him..

SBP beats up the p5 so bad that the Phoenix, realizing it's very being is in danger, retreats to the far reaches of the cosmos and never returns.

Nope . Iron Fist got owned in the subsequent panels . In fact that particular issue is the reason why posters on these boards have been overrating the P5 as of late .

So far , barring Scarlet-Walking-Talking-Plot-Device Witch and a Dreaming Celestial powered Sinister , nobody has been able to definitively take down any of the P5 .
