Yes I did use scans to support my argument that Superman ripped open a multiversal hole. In fact I used many scans from multiple issues, and pointed out many things that clearly demonstrated it was not a sun but rather a hole in the universe/multiverse/etc. Some people just have an issue that another poster's views are different from their own.

On another note I will upload many scans for you to see multiple speed feats of Pre Crisis superman. Expect them in a few hours (by 6pmish).

Okay, you post the links including your argument from those multiple issues to explain why it was a hole in the omniverse.

Im in the UK, its 12:18am 🙄

Well he did in his mind but I vehemently disagree.

I messaged the writer himself on Twitter and he confirmed it was the Sun.

That's from the author who wrote the issue. If you want I can send you a link. And his picture won't load because Twitter is crap on my phone.

Thats hard to argue against, if the writer nailed the coffin, i guess theres nothing else to argue. Props to you for messaging the writer and having him reply back 👆

OH THAT feat, thats from injustice, a yellow ring amped superman pushes ganthet to mogo, which sends mogo all the way to the sun.

I have the precisis scans, would you like me to post them here, or would you like a link to them where I have compiled them?

Anywhere would be fine.....what are you comfortable with?
Thanks btw 🙂

This would likely be the easiest way
1. http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=602983&pagenumber=1

2. http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=603967&pagenumber=1

I posted heavily in each of those threads, and I posted a large quantity of scans with explanations for each of them. Enjoy!

Not trying to piss anyone off,but physics dosen`t seem to register in comic book fanitacy land. But kirby and Lee at least tried to follow those guide lines as long as they could. This Flash speed realm or whatever you call it seems ridicules to me!

What guidelines? why does there have to be guidelines on speed and nothing else? kirby and lee realized the double standards and hypocrisy in such a treatment, hence they stopped and went full blown with creativity and imagination. Who cares if the laws of physics are broken? who cares if someone goes FTL? you have to realize the stupidity in that when you characters who can wipe out universes, higher dimensional entities, solar powered aliens and many more, all of which break the laws of physics.

Supergirl's feat, really

So here's the gist of this thread...

Superman using black holes doesn't count as a short cut, but Surfer using hyperspace does.

Superfans are willing dismiss all of Surfers speed feats by wrongly assuming they're all done via hyperspace, even though they clearly aren't.

If you're going to twist the rules and rig the thread in favour of Superman at least make your hypocrisy less obvious; save the few crumbs of credibility you have left on this forum.

Black holes aren't short cuts though, they are the opposite. They slow motion down to a near halt (gravity is a force that impedes motion away from it or reduces the acceleration and hence speed of an object trying to escape it). And if you really want to go there, Black holes even slow the passage of time. That would mean Superman's feat is astonomically more than what is is.
Remember the move Interstellar? A few hours NEAR a black hole is like years away from one. Superman doing that in 60 days could mean he would have traveled to the end of the universe without coming near a black hole in a few minutes or less.
P.S. I didn't do any math, just going on intuition.

I really loved how H1 timed himself reading the conversation to figure out how long it took... It couldn't be that these characters could do things exponentially faster than you now could it?
Writers don't try to mislead or hide things from the reader when they are crucial to understanding what is going on. I'm pretty sure if a character was talking exponentially faster then the writer would have pointed that out since it is very IMPORTANT. Why assume a character is talking exponentially faster than normal when NO EVIDENCE exists to support it?

No, "desperate" is getting THIS upset simply because people view a feat differently than yourself, and proceeding to bash/flame them for no real reason.

Grow up.

In all honestly, it's not that people view the feat differently but rather they are subtly trolling.

The rule here (and one of logic) is that a situation doesn't exist and never happened if it isn't based on common sense (like Peter Parker has a toilet in his house although it was never shown) or the writer didn't create it. There are many instances where Black holes did not make a character reach a destination faster and where they did the opposite.

In other words, saying that Superman used black holes as a means to get to one place faster is pure trolling since no where in that particular comic does it state or show that. The writer's intention wasn't that, otherwise he would have made his intentions clear. Creating reasons that don't exist is simply called making shit up. That is why Abhi is irritated. So no, OGD doesn't have a valid view at all. He
was just trolling.

You have posts like below, which imply that it's a "law" that Surfer enters hyperspace when he hits warp speed, which is obviously false.

^ How else am I suppose to interpret this? A law that most are bound to? Since when?

Fail. That part was borrowed from the scan. And it meant speed of light being a law most are bound to.

You cant simply throw around your own interpretations whenever you like, fact is hyperspace can only be achieved after entering lightspeed, we dont know how much of lightspeed has to be exceeded to enter hyperspace, but we know that without moving ftl you cant enter hyperspace.
It's not 'interpretation'. It's how sentences are read.
