Yay! Onwards!

Denzral will dock the craft and take a quick damage assessment from internal system diagnostics. "Gentlemen, this is our stop. In fact this is probably the safest place we will likely have gone to."

(I will have to read back through as it has been so long I have actually forgotten what my purpose is here. Unification or something. Gathering votes and money i believe. Arrgh!, thanks for moving things along, though 🙂 )

This otoh (Gungan for city) is not in support of the unification government of Naboo, which is operated by humans and Gungans equally. Duke Torvuelle wants you to get them to pledge their support, and in return he is willing to supply help for your endeavor to take back Halloy with King Evand.

King Evand has no backing and you have to gather support if you want to unseat the Dark Jedi that has taken over.

-

This otoh is not as free-floating as that of Jar Jar's in Episode I- instead, it is partially built into the sea floor. Scintillating domes of plasma encase the city and keep out the water.

The submarine glides effortlessly through the plasma wall and into the dry dock.

And it seems the Gungans put together a welcoming committee for you! Several Gungans in official uniforms surround the submarine when you bring it to a halt.

Denzral will unseal the cockpit, and get out. He is guessing that they are either military types that are arresting them or... well... doesn't matter. "Hello there."

They are Gungan warriors, as you guessed. They ask you to surrender any weapons you carry and come with them.

"Trozen give them your blaster." Denzral will gesture, stressing the word 'blaster' slowly, but will make no move to indicate he was giving up any weapons himself, or even had any. Hopefully the blaster is hidden under the robe well enough, and the lightsabre dis-counted as it has been on many occasions. "I am, Denzral Vassisk. This is Evand of Halloy, and he is Trozen." Denzral will say omitting certain specifics.

It will be an Intrusion check to conceal any weapons you are carrying. Are you going to attempt to do so?

Sure why not.

It will be Intrusion + Dexterity to conceal them properly.

As you carry two weapons- saber and blaster- it needs three successes to hide them well. You only roll two, and so the Gungans notice them protruding from your robes.

"Hand them over," says a captain, threatening you with his spear.

Denzral will do so.

Trozen and Evand do the same.

And with you disarmed, they escort you into the city. You receive quite a few guards on this walk; they are not taking any chances with outsiders.

Denzral will keep an eye around for anything non-gungun.

Well, there's Evand and Trozen next to you! Everything else is very Gungan.

You have a small army of Gungan warriors committed to watching you. They escort you through the organically-crafted curving hallways, with many Gungan civilians looking on. It is dead silent. There is only the pattering of the Gungans' padded feet and your parties' boots.

A few monstrous fish stop beyond the plasmatic barrier to watch before swimming on.

You are brought into the throne room of Boss Hin-Hon, where a council of Gungan priests preside, with their hooded robes. Boss Hin-Hon, standing in the center while the others sit, is not at all like Boss Nass from the films; he is tall and severe.

"Whysa you being here?" he demands.

"Boss Hin-Hon," Denzral will bow, "I am Jedi Knight Denzral Vassisk. And this is King Evand of Halloy, and his guard Trozen. They are under my protection. I am here to seek your assistance in unifying the Gungun and the Naboo, in order for me to help bring to justice a dark Jedi and his unwitting army, and return Evand to his throne." Denzral was as honest as possible, but worded it as best he could so that Gunga' was first. What little he knew of Gunguns he wasn't sure how to convince the Boss to help. Denzral was no politician, he could do his best, but perhaps this required Jovan's more literate approach.

"Yousa want mesa to unite with the Naboo for not-mine purposes?" Hin-Hon hisses. "Mesa lookin' for Gungan security firsto! Deesa King o' Halloy has hisa problems. Mesa have mesa own problems. Wesa have no time for puny human problems from waaay away."

"Perhaps I can help you with your problems and in doing so convince you that humans are no bad thing."

Hin-Hon laughs, and his council follows.

"Yousa wanna help usa?" Hin-Hon laughs. He cuts his laughter short and makes a furious flubbering noise with his lips. "Yousa tinkin' wesa wanna help from yousa? Gungans bombad, wesa no needin' help!"

You know I have no idea why I thought Denz'd be able to convince a bunch of Gunguns of anything... I need a little help as I have no idea what to do. Also... I have no idea what he just said. Wish Denz had Mind Trick. I'm hesitant to continue...))

"Why do you fear a unification with the Naboo and the other Bosses?"

It's up to you here. Either you sway the Gungans to your side and gain the Naboo allegiance to help King Evand, or you don't. The pressure is on.

Hin-Hon explains that the Naboo slaughtered the Gungans in the past, driving them from the surface to their underwater cities. It may have been thousands of years ago, but Hin-Hon is sad that his Gungan brothers have forgotten.

"I understand. I do not believe your Gun Gun brothers and sisters have forgotten, they have merely moved on. The Naboo have changed, and they, and the Republic, have offered their hand in friendship to the Gun Gun people, to you we owe a great debt in helping defeat the Trade Federation army that would have found and destroyed your people and the Naboo, had you as a people not banded together and aided them. It was a proud victory, and one that has brought change to the Gun Guns. Now the Gun Guns are welcomed, there are children up there that see the Gun Guns as heroes. The Gun Gun as a people must move on from the past, or your past will control your lives."

(To be honest I'm shooting in the dark here, well I think I am. I had to check a couple of Wiki's and such, also I actually forgot about this RP, and I need to read back through. Denz is not built for this kind of mission, I suck.)

Au contraire! The Adventurer is best built for missions like this, with an even spread of social and active skills. You're the warrior-diplomat.

This is going to be a Persuade + Charisma roll here to start convincing Boss Hin-Hon. Want to go for it?
