It's always seemed to me that the power of Black Bolt's voice, lurking in the background of battle, so to speak, was something opponets hoped never to face, a kind of ultimate ace-in-the-hole by which they'd lose. I don't think other characters in the Marvel universe feel likewise about the thunderclap. With the Hulk, it's his rage and strength you hope to avoid.
The thunderclap is destructive -- apparently more than I was aware. It's almost as if some writers are trying to turn it into Hulk's energy projection. But BB's vocal power is on a level, by itself, apparently far beyond the character's otherwise overall power. It's like his voice is nigh cosmic. One could, perhaps, arguably say this about the Hulk's strength, but I don't think his thunderclaps specifically are held in same regard.
Scream ftw, but not easily.
