Essex is only seen intelligent because of brute force tactics, McCoy is the worlds leading genetic scientist, with masters in chemistry, biology, and I believe advanced robotics and Mathematics

MM is pretty smart even though he's shown getting jumped on occasion lol.

I forgot to add Brainiac 5. Arguably in Reed's/Tony's class, IMO. But a notch below Alex and Professor Q.

Eh last I checked they still aren't a real power, more of a skill of doing instantaneous calculations and being able to look at things on a mathematic level. Just normal super genuis stuff only applied to on the fly escapes and combat instead of inventions to make him a little more unique.

Yeah, then you get into things like Martians possessing all the knowledge of their ancestors through genetic memory or somesuch...

Reed once said that Peter is as smart as he was at that age. And Pete was like 20 at the time. I dont really believe Peter is as smart as Reed but he's definitely up there with the smartest heroes in Marvel. Its just he wastes his talents. Well, used to. Now he has feats to go along with the potential.

In both companies no, but just Marvel heroes I think he'd possibly fit in around 10 or 9 going by his recent feats.

Here are some of Peter's:

Part 1.

As a kid Pete builds Reed Richard's "neutrino catcher" for school sience fair.

Nerd talk with Reed heh

Reed compliments Peter and pretty says that according to some tests he's as smart as Reed himself was at that age.

Reed once again compliments Peter, saying he's taken his work in diretions he never imagined.

Pym outright admits that Peter is smarter than him.

Peter finds a way to save the planet faster than Richards himself. Reed admits he's envious.

On the fly (literally) calculates the frequency needed to create metal with vibranium-like ability to absorb impact and vibration.

Took him some time, but Peter managed to fix the broken cosmic cube.
