But that's not what's being argued.

In relation to characters is being argued. And when characters are almost always human sized on either Earth or Apokolips, it means the Boomtube scaling things is rather irrelevant.

When Supergirl visited Apocolips, wasn't she the size of a fly compared to the New Gods?

Almost always...

It's right there in my post.

Ok, wasn't aware of that.

shrug Irrelevant ok, but this is what the BoomTube does.

I don't see a contradiction at all. Apokalips is thousands or hundreds of times bigger, if it isn't scaled down. But it is, to make life easier for writers and artist and the story. If the Boomtube wouldn't scale it down or up Apok > Earth, so most likely imho Apok = Earth with a proper Boomtube.
We are arguing these things under the assumption that they are on the same scale. Abhil stated that Orion shaking Apokolips is 'teh uber' because Apokolips is thousands of times larger than earth-- of course it's larger, it exists in a higher dimensional plane. However, Apokolips is proportionally no larger than the Moon in relation to earth, thus it's really not that impressive for a herald level character.

Too bad Simonson wasn't on Orion longer, because he was going to explore Orion's true form more. Supposedly a lot bigger than a galaxy or whatever.

KK. Though to be fair, Orion most likely, like any Herlad with Heraldlevel Superstrength would be able to shake the Earth. Besides that, as far as I know Orion is normally Supes equal when it comes to strength, angry maybe even slightly above him.

Orion did stalemate an amped Supes but I think Maj could have done the same.

Orion was able to do well against a sun amped Supes. Which is an outrageous feat.

Really? When?

Left out the scene where they Kryptonite him afterwards.

Orion went after Superman!
Where?
INDIA!

😂 thought that was kind of funny.

Man of Tomorrow #13. Just flipped through it. There was a sizable gap in time between Superman flying close to the sun, and when he fought Orion-- so it wasn't exactly a 'fresh' amp.

Still cool, though. Orion trades a few blows before getting slapped to the side. 👆

Orion is da MAN! sneer

Saw that. He was stronger than normal, yeah. But for some reason I thought the instance you referred to was a 'fresh' amp(like he's had most other times.)

I wouldn't say Orion did "well" though.

But how much stronger? 2x? 3x?

Meh, he was monologuing right beside the sun in the same comic.
I don't think 11 pages is enough time for his amp to be considered "old" considering how he stores energy.

They went like 7 to 5 hits (assuming Orion landed one in one of the trading ones) for Superman while Orion was still standing fresh.

That's a pretty sexy feat for anyone, even two years before Our Worlds at Gay

Considering that Diana says that her + MM couldn't hold Clark for long, I'd say Orion held up pretty nicely on his own. A sun amped Supes is going to normally maul heralds.

Exactly. Orion didn't look tired at all. I'm sure Superman would have won in the end, but it's still a solid feat.

It was good, but Barda's single blast did more than Orion's punches. /shrug

Now it is going to turn into an Orion wank-fest... PM is already on the case.
