Uncanny Avengers #2 ....What an awesome issue.
I was undecided by the choice of the first. Not the norm and extremely dark.
But this issue sold me as a fan of this series. Very solid.
-Red Skull clone with Xavier's brain...awesome.
-Rogue's escape and her thanking Remy as she did it was up there as one of the coolest escapes I've ever read. Reminded me of why I love reading comics. Remy was always in my top 3 fav Marvel characters because of his escapist tricks and with Rogue holding his memories for a long time I see her being an awesome Avenger in this series. Way to move forward.
-The outbreak of mutant murders because of the Red Skull's propaganda tactics was a genius piece of writing.
-And the above comments on how Thor could be controlled by the Skull is understandable considering the recent defeats he's received recently. Though Xavier proved he can be a high end telepath during the end of the AvX saga. And the fact that he shared a womb with Cassandra Nova proves the level of influence he is capable of.
Emma Frost recently failed to telepathically control Thor though I believe Nova's apparent further evolution in the mutant strain than high end mutants inside Xavier's potential shows that such a high end feat can be possible.
All round impressive issue. The best of the Marvel Now series.
