I've got 36 hours on Rogue Legacy.Fine, be sheeple.
That doesn't stop the game itself from being absolute gold though. I had a blast with it, but there is no way in f*ck I'm alright with this becoming a common practice.
I still believe it's bullshit to release that game for $35. At $17, I think it's properly priced. A lot of games at that price are roughly the same play time for the first time through.
If it was around $15 at launch, I wouldn't have a problem. And to think they were going to price it at full price before shit hit the fan is ****ing nuts.
So started playing Ground Zeroes. I didn't get to finish it yet.
Umm, it is very nice looking game. It sounds nice as well.
It plays better than MGS4 but I still find it a bit clunky. There is a bit of strangeness as well. For ex. You knock a guy out with the tranq, and move him so nobody knows you were there. Well, he gets back up and goes back to his post. It's kind of dumb. I feel like the tranq should a bit longer shelf left than 10 minutes and if he did wake up, you would think he would raising hell! I basically started killing them because I didn't want the hassle. I know it won't be a problem because you can ship them out to your Mother Base in Phantom Pain.
Anyways, it's fun but it's totally a cash grab and a bullshit move. This would of been a perfect intro/tutorial sequence for Phantom Pain.

I'm a Metal Gear fanatic... it's been my favourite series for a long time now, but I actually agree with this. I paid for it, and it's not really that I regret doing it because new Metal Gear makes me wet myself regardless of how long it is or how much money it cost, but it is still bullshit. At least when the MGS2 demo came out years ago, it was just packaged with another game.
Anyway, I'm still ridiculously pumped for the game, but I watched some of the footage from Gamescom this year and I feel like maybe they've gone too far with some of the silliness. Metal Gear has always been silly in ways, and I love that the series is a mixture of being an artistic game that is trying to say something while still retaining its sense of humour and knowing that it's a video game, but what they've done with the cardboard boxes and the horse poop may have been too far. It's minor and you don't have to do it in-game, but it's still a little stupid.
Ultimately it doesn't matter, because I'm calling it now that it'll be game of the year next year and I will fanboy over it hard, but still...
