Good season opener. I just wish that I had much investment in this series any more.
If it wasn't set in a superhero universe I would have stopped watching ages ago. It's basically a soap opera now, with costumes and some action. The only one who actually seems to be enjoying himself is Neal McDonough, as he always does, and thank goodness for him this season.
Quite frankly, I think it's about time he starred in his own series - but I think he's probably having too much fun making an appearance in every single tv show and superhero movie they've made in the last five years. Also, I love the fact that he was the voice for Green Arrow in the Superman/Shazam movie.
Honestly, if I was in Diggle's position and Oliver did what he did to my family last season, I would've told him off and then quietly moved to Metropolis or someplace else. That said, I don't blame Dig for how he is currently, though to be fair, Oliver's character hasn't been that bad again yet.. Season 3 Ollie was the worst.
