Spoiler:
Constantine made a decent guest appearance IMO, though I really do wish they didn't make him do vinegar stroke face when he cast some spells. I think they intentionally also added that bit about him having familiarity with Darhk so that they can possibly bring him back later, if this episode is well received. I lol'd when he called Oliver "Alice" though.Guessing the next portion of the sub plot will involve figuring out where Ray is and how to help him, considering Felicity now found out that he is still alive.
The episode did well, despite a rough cut leak going online about 2 days before it actually aired. Most shows dipped a bit this Wednesday, but Arrow's ratings were up by about 10% apparently.
There were some things that bugged me though:
Spoiler:
John fixes Sara's crazy, but no one thinks to ask "Oh, before you go, can you maybe help Thea as well? She underwent something similar to Sara."Or the woman now living in a cave on the island. Perfect opportunity for Oliver to get her off the island with John and his boat, but nothing like that happens.
Laurel... she really does not seem to care that her actions literally caused her sister to go on a killing spree. It's all "Oliver doesn't care about me waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah"
And finally, why did everyone on team Arrow suddenly become flailing idiots when Sarah attacked them? I know they were trying to capture and not kill, but they were getting tossed around like fodder.
👆 to all of that.
I thought the exact same thing about Thea... like, why not help her too... i guess they wanna keep that bullet in the chamber to use later. And it really bugged the shit out of me how everyone all of a sudden forgot how to fight. It's not like Sara has enhanced stats or anything... she wasn't even using skill to beat their asses. that was just dumb.
Great point about the woman in the cave, i didn't even think about that.
and yeah, Laurel is still the worst part of this show. by a long shot. my eyes involuntarily roll whenever she starts to talk.
Felicity's emo mood swings are getting extremely tiring. Not sure who has the worst emotional outbursts. She or Laurel.
Also, am I the only one who is actually finding the flashback arc to be more interesting than the current timeline one for a change? I am more curious to see what is really hidden on that island than to watch another villain destroy the city.
Eh, I think the actress that plays Felicity is usually pretty decent.
This last episode though, how did it not occur to her at least once that she was becoming obsessed with saving her ex-boyfriend and basically giving Oliver shit even though he's the most qualified to help Ray. I mean, that's some blindness right there.
