EA's biggest retail partner last quarter? Apple

Apple is going to become more and more important in the gaming market. Imo they will be the biggest player in a couple years time.
While I am not sure how much the build in controller support in iOS this fall will matter, I still think it's a great step in the right direction, it could possibly let me get over the 3DS being such a steaming piece of dung...

I'd want an external controller for an iPad or Android Tablet, fo sho. Especially if the games are decent.
Cant wait for the new Elder Scrolls!
Got legendary edition about a month ago. I was such a moron that for somereason I deleted my 81 lvl character with about 150 hours of gameplay...so I restarted from scratch right now Im lvl 53 played another 110 hours and still having so much fun havent tried the DLCs before they are awesome I love playing as a vampire lord tk throwing people of the cliffs never get's old.
Also I hope they will make a new Superman,Spawn and Darkness game.

Well, the games on iOS are already pretty good. Now if the ones you have to play with shitty on screen controls use the external controller it could be excellent.
My iPad and phone are the reason I will never get another portable gaming device like the 3DS. No need. More selection and about 95% cheaper.
And the quality is the same. I had more fun with Super Stickman golf than I had any DS game I had.

The quality definitely can be the same. I guess currently there's a lot, lot more casual or puzzle games, but the iPad can basically play games that computers could play 7 years ago, so there's no reason there can't be a lot more deep experiences.

Every single Xbox One can be used to make games, Microsoft says—in other words, you can use the next-gen console as your very own development kit.
UPDATE: But not at launch. Microsoft's Marc Whitten just told us that devkit functionality will be added at a later date.

That's pretty cool that a regular Xbox One can be turned into a dev kit.
I wonder if there will be a cost associated with it? And if you can turn it back to a regular console?
But still cool none less. It will be interesting to see if self-publishing and the ability to turn it into a dev kit will create a robust online store similar to the Apple App Store.
And seeing if somebody can create some cool games using the Kinect.
An anonymous source claims there'll be an Xbox One with no Kinect next year. Microsoft responded to that saying there's no such thing and that "Kinect is important." Well of course they'll say that since their expensive bundle isn't even out yet but once the holiday season is over with, I'm sure they will announce something to satisfy those still suspicious of their motion device.

I highly doubt they will go back on Kinect being optional. It seems to intergral to operation of the console.
Also, if they back down in a year then it ****s everybody over who bought one already because developers are lost less likely to develop for it not knowing if everybody has a Kinect.
Look at the Wii. It had motion controls so everybody had to develop for it because everybody had a Wii remote. Then look at the Playstation Move, nothing was done for it so it's a piece of useless technology.
If it's part of the XBOX One, then developers will probably do something with it. In the end, it should be either the XBOX One have it on all consoles, or not released at all.

Kinda like how Major Nelson said the DRM is integral to the console right?

If you bought it already, it just goes to show how willingly accepting you are of the Kinect but those who don't want to accept it, why not make an Xbox for those people who just want a controller and nothing more? If Microsoft screwed you over, you the guy who doesn't mind the thing, by offering another Xbox that's cheap because it doesn't have an extra accessory tied to it to individuals who do mind the Kinect, then I guess they screwed you big time.

You just gotta love forced gimmicks. Is it seriously too much to ask they can still bundle the Kinect with the console so we can make them feel happy at least they didn't waste their oh so precious money making it completely (I'd still wait for a price drop though) but we can still hook it up when we feel like it and not use it everytime we play something?

Why do you care if your going to buy a PS4?I just think Kinect should be all or nothing with the Xbox One.
Because I normally respond to these console wars by buying all three systems and being able to play all the hot new exclusive games that catch my interest but because Microsoft wants to be a dick, I'm going to miss out on the Xbox side and as much as I like videogames, I'm not gonna be put on a leash for them and accept whatever gets shoved down my throat.
