Anyone have a Playstation TV?
It's a playstation vita that isn't portable.
But, the awesome thing is that it currently only costs $39.99 USD.
Thats less then some of the games that are compatible with it costs.
Its compatible with any downloadable classic title. (PS1, PSP)
But not so much with a lot of vita games. However, Killzone: Mercenary works, Borderlands 2, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Minecraft. Plenty of other stuff.
It's compatible with a PS4 controller or a PS3 controller, but you absolutely need an HDTV to use it, with HDMI ports. It doesn't support RCA cables.
Another thing that sucks about it is that it can only go up to 1080I, unfortunately.
I usually use it for youtube when my main TV is being used.
However, the vita games I have on it are: Killzone Mercenary, Soul Sacrifice Delta, Borderlands 2, Toukiden: The Age of Demons, God of War Collection, Shovel Knight, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Minecraft, J-Stars Victory Vs, and Lego Batman 2.
My PSP/PS1 games are: Star Wars The Force Unleashed, Star Wars Battlefront II, Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron, SoulCalibur Broken Destiny, Power Stone Collection, Gladiator Begins, Final Fantasy: Dissidia Duodecim 012, Valhalla Knights, Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines, The Lord of The Rings: Aragorn's Quest, Half-Minute Hero, GTA: Liberty City Stories, Namco Museum Vol. 1, Patapon 1 and 2, Manhunt 2, Final Fantasy: Origins, Rayman, Legend of Dragoon, and Battle Hunter.
I only have two mini's, but there are loads more.
All in All, I would pick this up over the Wii Mini, thats all I'm saying, and the price is Godlike, even for a mini-console.
Picked up Forza 6. Looks great, plays and controls great and I think it has a very good combination of tracks.
Which brings the interesting thing about this generation. It's probably the first generation where the console with most exclusives is in the second place. In most cases, it's the other way around. I find it interesting. Well, the Wii is the exception but it's an outlier. That did well because it had one interesting mechanic and the casual crowd flocked to it.
Anywhoo, if you have Xbox One and like racing, pick up Forza 6. Nights, rain, over 400 expertly detailed cars and I think about 22 or so tracks, it's pretty damn good.
Well anyways, Forza 6 is great.
I just did a race in a Caterham R500 in the rain at Brand's Hatch and it was ****ing exhilarating. Due to the open cockpit in the car, I could hear the puddles, rain was dripping on the helmet, it was ****ing hard to drive in the rain and it looked fantastic. Just having rain made it a completely different experience.
Some of the effects are amazing. At Bathurst, one part of the track had a hazy, foggy effect that changed the sunlight a bit, making it a bit difficult to drive through. At Mazda Speedway, some part of the tracks have a fine layer of dust from the surrounding desert, making driving in those areas different enough from the regular part of the track. It controls so well that you can feel different types of cars on different parts of the track. Driving a Caterham has a much different feel than an BMW M5 but if you drive an M5 in rain, it's easier to handle because of the wieght but the much lighter car, it's much harder.
Fantastic game.
And this one is pretty damn good.
I really enjoyed Forza 5 but eventually how they did the racing events kind of bored me. As well, the lack of tracks started to become an issue after 20-30 hours. I did understand why there was a lack of tracks but compared Forza 4, it was definitely not the same.
They have showcases events and it's done in a smart way. It lets you drive cars quickly without buying them. And you also get all the benefits after completing an event. As well, they have endurance races. You can race the Le Mans for 50 laps if you would like.
This thing can play any PSP and PS1 game on the Vita store, and can be outputted to HD, but only up to 1080i.
HOWEVER, it's very easy to hook up and is tiny enough that it isn't a burden.
It can be hooked up to any HD TV that supports HDMI, it SEEMS more powerful then the Vita itself, by just barely a hair. When comparing BattleFront II on the PSP between the Vita, and this, the PSTV won. Just as well, Toukiden: The Age of Demons looked better too.
You can use a PS3 and PS4 controller for this thing.
Oh, and the price for it is fantastic.
