Well i know it is being directed by someone who's done some of Game Of Thrones, So yeah there's that with it looking a bit more real and grounded.
Thor shouldn't be "real and grounded".

Of course I can't blame you for wanting Thor to have a chance in the vs. forum.

Is that the only way you perceive these films?

I grew up with these characters as a kid. I wish Thor would represent more of the 60's iconic character I grew up with.....actually it would be better than the movies I've seen.

Imagine Leonardo Dicaprio playing Donald Blake being the vessel for Thor returning to Earth. The doctor that Jane (Natalie Portman) had a relationship in the earlier film. And a love triangle eventuating between the two?

It would be Hollywood gold! Thor fighting new threats is all good, but we as viewers need more than that to take our attention.

Imagine Leo smacking his cane on the ground and becoming Thor. It would rock!

lol

So Malekith is the Rules of the Dark Elves, this should be cool

Have you even watched the trailer ?........."real & grounded doesn't always mean to do it like how the recent Batman movies have been done

you can tell it it when he's in battle.

Very cool.

Anyone get the first part of the trailer where the rig is floating in mid air? Also Jane seems to be in England, possibly Oxford or some other historic school when Thor shows up and takes her to Asgaurd via bifrost.

Thor trailer is much better IMO than MOS trailer.

Fitting, as no one has ever accused you of having good taste.

Quan how do you like IM3 trailer and Thor 2 over Man of Steel previews? Theres nothing grand or illustrious or hope in them in which there is with Man of Steel. Plus we got an all star cast for MOS.

I never said I liked the Iron Man 3 trailer over the MOS trailer.

So what you're saying, is that the movie can be complete ass, but so long as Thor gets some feats that would finally allow him to beat 2005 Hulk in the movie vs. you're feelin good?

All us Thor fans only want Thor to properly display his power so that people who are not familiar with Thor won't say such stupid crap as:

1. Thor has no power without his hammer
2. Thor can control lightning and that's it (and he can't do it without mjolnir)
3. Thor is a slugger and has not shown that he is a trained h2h fighter
4. Energy absorption you say? Teleportation? Nonsense. Thor has none of those powers.

Thor 2 teaser was way better than MOS teaser. Obviously, MOS 3rd trailer is way better than Thor 2 teaser.

Liked the first Thor film

New images

Malakith with a gun and even Dark Elves with guns

But the visuals of Asgard was one of the best things about the first movie, even if it was CGI. Why take away a good thing?

Idk because CGI is the worst thing ever thought of

Depends on how it's used. One of those things that can be good when used in small or moderate amounts, but makes a movie superficial when used too much.

1) A lot of those misconceptions are in comics as well because often times its hard to distinguish Thor between him and his hammer as they are a classic pairing and a part of the character's well character.

2) In the Thor film Thor is shown creating a Tornado

3) In the Thor movie Thor was shown to be a very able H2H fighter, even in the Avengers when he went against Hulk he was shown to be skilled.

4) Thor is one of those character's that in the comics has such a wide range of powers you got to be careful about introducing too many of them in the movie version otherwise the character can become too overpowered and hard to write and maintain within a story. He already flirted with being so OP in Thor and even almost in the Avengers if not for his scuffle with Hulk showing that yes someone could potentially beat him in a fight. Even then most people agree that Thor can beat Hulk using all of his powers. So the more powers you give Thor either he becomes too OP or they have to write down his other abilities to even it out.
