Another thing that I was thinking about: Why did Zod want to terraform Earth? It's not like Earth was inhabitable to Kryptonians, considering Kal El was living there his entire life, and in fact, altering Earth's gravity would depower all of the Kryptonians. You'd think he would be thriving in Earth's gravity, but apparently he wants that down home Krypton feel, even when the alternative grants him god-like power.
Zod actually said because it was really painful to adapt to earth's atmosphere, and he didn't want to put his people through that, especially since they would all be children trying to adapt to it. Ma kent said she was actually worried that Clark wouldn't make it at first because he was having such a hard time when he was a baby.

I love the books, which have way less action than the movies, so no. The HP movies are just really shitty. The first few are awful since the kids are too young and can't act at all, then the rest are still not good at all in various ways.
Voldemort is a pale imitation (ba dum tish!) of his book self btw.
As far as Zod is concerned he actually said that as a warrior he was trained to hone his senses, hence why he was able to adapt so quickly. Faora had the same training. People who weren't trained would fare far less well, like Supes and the other possible kryptonian children they wanted to bring about.

Why didn't he just terraform Mars or Venus?
Zod is built up to be this sort of well-intentioned extremist, someone who isn't wholly evil, but ruthless in getting what he believes his people need.
Only he was going to commit a pointless genocide for... I don't know actually, that's very unclear.
The movie should have been called Man of Plotholes.
