Zod is built up to be this sort of well-intentioned extremist, someone who isn't wholly evil, but ruthless in getting what he believes his people need.

He had to come to earth for the codec anyway. Why bother moving after that when you can just ***** slap the humans?

The fight seen went on for so long that I started laughing. How many time can you drag a bad guys face across a skyscraper?

I find it odd that beings such as Supes and Zod kept smashing each other with objects that do less damage than me hitting someone else in the face with a feather pillow. Stuff like that kinda got pointless.

It would've been more credible if we saw both of them slowly getting injured & damaged.

man of steel is very nice movie and it best movie of 2013 and now fifty shades of grey is 2015 best movie .

That leads to another question: Why the hell did Jor El even give Kal the codex? When the time came for it to be implemented, Kal said "Phuck Krypton" It was really nothing more than a pointless MacGuffin for Zod to come to Earth.

Doesn't Kal still have his own ship with another "Matrix baby machine"? Personally I just took it as Jor-El being hypocritical and stuff.

super movie of super heroes..simply enjoyed it.

Definitely one of the more polarizing films I've seen.

I've probably argued with my coworkers about it more than anything. I'll continue to defend it. Nitpickers can harp about trivial things but Snyder delivered in almost every area. Only place I felt there could be significant improvement in was the Lois Lane department.

Was super excited when I heard Snyder was doing Batman/Supermam. Hope Affleck does a great job.

I definitely agree. Snyder did everything superlatively. Goyer on the other hand....

When Supes had 24 hours, why didn't he just go see Jor-El about what to do? He went to a priest instead, if he'd gone to his dad he coulda found out about throwing his ship into there's sending them back to the phantom zone, it was bought up in 'how it should have ended...man of steel.' It was a good point I thought.

I can look past the plot holes and story inconsistencies. I do that with most films. But when the movie evokes no other emotion from me than confusion, boredom, and indifference toward characters, then the movie has done something wrong. For me.
