This Respect Thread would be remiss if it didn't revisit the man within the monster. Dr. Robert Bruce Banner is a super-genius of the highest caliber. And his intelligence has been both the bane and saving grace of his existence ever since he was first published.

Even in the company of Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Hank Pym and Peter Parker, Black Goliath realizes that "when it comes to radiation-based mutation, there's only one true expert." From Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #2:

In the Marvel Universe, Bruce Banner is the foremost authority on the effects of radiation and nuclear physics. The Russian super-genius, Gargoyle, would turn to him for a cure to his affliction in Incredible Hulk #1:

Although a nuclear physicist by trade, Banner's genius spans many disciplines. That includes engineering. He can fashion almost any device from spare equipment. Here, he modifies electronic equipment to send out morse code signals in Tales to Astonish #69:

Banner's intelligence can also be measured by the things he's invented. He is obviously best known for the original Gamma Bomb (aka Bannerbomb, G-Bomb) that brought the Hulk into the world. Something he reinvented recently when driven insane. From Incredible Hulk #312 and vol.3 #4 respectively:

When the Red Hulk rendered him human, Banner designed a whole slew of devices dubbed, "Bannertech," to combat the emerging threat of the Intelligencia. Among those devices was the Flyspy, a microscopic scanner and tracker. From Incredible Hulk #601:

Bruce Banner's intelligence is unquestionable. So the Hulk is dumb, right? Not really. Banner's genius actually bleeds into his Hulk personas in ways that are much more subtle than when it emerged outright during his Professor Hulk phase. The Leader hypothesizes, "I had always failed to remember that under that mass of strength was an equally powerful mind. It couldn't speak. But it was always there." From Fall of the Hulks Alpha #1:

This isn't a novel development. This undercurrent of intelligence emerged numerous times throughout the decades of his history. Here, it's noted, "And then, somewhere in that bestial, clouded brain -- a dim spark that is Bruce Banner suddenly shines thru -- without really knowing why -- without conscious motivation -- guided by an inexplicable, intuitive urge, the Hulk successfully completes the most vital leap of his entire life-- !" It is probably this ability to perceive the physics around him that accounts for his uncanny aim. A pilot realizes, "Weird! It looked like the Hulk carefully aimed that makeshift spear at my wing -- not at the cockpit! As if... he didn't want to hurt me..." From Marvel Fanfare #7:

Just as Banner's attributes intermix with the Hulk, attributes of the Hulk bleed into Banner. The line between his human and monster form blurs sometimes; accordingly, Banner developed superhuman attributes himself. For instance, Bruce's human form is highly tolerant to energy. "The master of radiation directs a killing combination of radioactive rays down at Bruce Banner. It is only his own prolonged exposure to gamma rays that enables him to suffer X-Ray's assault... and live!" From Incredible Hulk #276:

ADAPTIVE EVOLUTION

Last but not least, the Hulk developed a variety of superpower abilities separate and distinct from his super strength. Having emerged from underwater, Banner discovers that his body can develop glands which produce an oxygenated perfluorocarbon emulsion that fills his lungs, equalizes pressure, permits him to breathe fluid, and avoids decompression and nitrogen narcosis. Hulk's body not only feeds on gamma radiation, it emits it. And Hulk's used it in defensive and offensive ways. Here, he "expends his almost limitless energy and power, [and] his temperature rises to an unimaginable degree," melting his icy prison in Incredible Hulk #5:

An uncontrollable torrent of gamma radiation ends up incinerating bullets in mid-flight in Incredible Hulk #446. The amount of radiation he projects is so lethal, it instantly kills a handler who exposes his suit and even melts a containment unit that would smother a nuclear warhead:

SUPERNATURAL SENSES

One of the more bizarre powers Hulk has manifested is an ability to see supernatural forms. Dr. Strange notes, "Something in the Hulk's warped nature enables him to see and hear my astral self." From Marvel Feature #1:

Here they are. The most iconic and epic fights in Hulk's appearances across 1000+ comics. Hulk doesn't have a rogues gallery... the entire world he inhabits is his enemy. The Hulk is quite possibly the most prolific character in comics when it comes to fighting. Each fight description specifies which incarnation of the Hulk was involved. They are ordered alphabetically and chronologically (by publishing date). I didn't post all his fights; for example, I mostly left out his fights with allies. But I've posted more than enough and will very likely post more of his fights in future updates.
