XXII. BANNER RESPECT
This Respect Thread would be remiss if it didn't revisit the man within the monster. Dr. Robert Bruce Banner is a super-genius of the highest caliber. And his intelligence has been both the bane and saving grace of his existence ever since he was first published.
Even in the company of Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Hank Pym and Peter Parker, Black Goliath realizes that "when it comes to radiation-based mutation, there's only one true expert." From Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #2:

Having testified on his behalf several times, Tony Stark asserts that "In his alter ego, he is also our most brilliant nuclear scientist." He later professes, "He's one of the great minds of our time." From Incredible Hulk #153 and Savage Hulk #1:

Also holding him in high regard is Reed Richards. Here, he reminds his team, "As Bruce Banner, the man is the most brilliant gamma-physicist in the nation!" Even after his brash actions with Skaar, he thinks Banner is "one of the biggest brains on the planet," from Incredible Hulk #152 and 605 respectively:

Psychotic as he is, Norman Osborn is also a brilliant inventor and industrialist and during his tenure as the head of world intelligence, he regarded Banner as "probably the fourth smartest person on the planet." From Dark Reign: The List #1:

M.O.D.O.K. understands that of the remaining eight smartest people on Earth, "our biggest threat is Bruce Banner." From Incredible Hulk #607:

Disillusioned by constant failure, the Leader eventually concluded, "I had always failed to remember that under that mass of strength was an equally powerful mind." From Fall of the Hulks Alpha #1:

Dr. Doom has "long wondered just how smart" Banner really is. From Incredible Hulk #606:

The High Evolutionary recognizes Banner's genius, from Incredible Hulk #266:

Advanced alien species recognize Banner's intelligence as well. The alien Toad Men searched for "the most brilliant scientific brain on Earth," and their search leads them directly to Bruce Banner in Incredible Hulk #2:

The alien Sagittarians study his encephalic patterns and declare, "He is a scientist -- one of the most brilliant of all!"

XXIII. BANNER INTELLIGENCE
In the Marvel Universe, Bruce Banner is the foremost authority on the effects of radiation and nuclear physics. The Russian super-genius, Gargoyle, would turn to him for a cure to his affliction in Incredible Hulk #1:

Although a nuclear physicist by trade, Banner's genius spans many disciplines. That includes engineering. He can fashion almost any device from spare equipment. Here, he modifies electronic equipment to send out morse code signals in Tales to Astonish #69:

He understands advanced avionics enough to reprogram flight control computers in Incredible Hulk #254:

The discipline of architecture is also within his purview, as he designed a laboratory complex for Scott Lang to build in Incredible Hulk #285:

Banner also possesses a mastery of biology. "It would've taken Spar and her cohorts weeks to get to this point [in analyzing bloodwork]... Bruce takes just under two hours." From Incredible Hulk #468:

Banner turns out to be a master in linguistics and computer programming as well. Here, he runs through "roughly four thousand different combinations of prime numbers before hitting upon B.R.A.I.N.'s access codes" . . . in Austro-Bavarian. From Incredible Hulk vol.3 #5:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Hulk%20Stats/BannerIntelligence56v35.jpg
Banner hasn't just accumulated knowledge. He can adapt and improvise as well. Here, he studies an alien doomsday machine for less than an hour without touching it and is able to fully understand its function, in Incredible Hulk #109:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Hulk%20Stats/BannerIntelligence12109.jpg
Banner only has minutes to reprogram the Leader's missile. "Without another word, the most brilliant nuclear physicist on Earth sets to work -- his skilled fingers moving with the speed and surety of a born virtuoso--!" From Incredible Hulk #117:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Hulk%20Stats/BannerIntelligence14117.jpg
"For a man of Robert Bruce Banner's genius, analyzing and rebuilding a device of incredible delicacy is almost child's-play." Even when it's Reed Richards' device. From Giant-Size Super-Stars #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Hulk%20Stats/BannerIntelligence16aGiantSizeSuperStars1.jpg
Iron Man watches in amazement as Banner manipulates Stark's device as though he was born to it in Incredible Hulk #282:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Hulk%20Stats/BannerIntelligence20282.jpg
He disarms a never-before-seen nuclear device on a sidewalk in Defenders #19:

Banner apparently studied Russian while obtaining his doctorate in physics, as revealed in Incredible Hulk #259:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Hulk%20Stats/BannerIntelligence18259.jpg
He was able to repair and reprogram a Super-Adaptoid, even working around its unstable molecules, in Incredible Hulk #469:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Hulk%20Stats/BannerIntelligence27-SuperAdaptoid469.jpg
Banner hacks a H.A.M.M.E.R. offensive satellite to send Juggernaut a message in Incredible Hulk #601:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Hulk%20Stats/BannerIntelligence34.jpg
He's overridden H.A.M.M.E.R. surveillance devices to keep hidden in Incredible Hulk #604:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Hulk%20Stats/BannerIntelligence42604.jpg
Driven mad, he's even mutated ordinary animals into Hulk-like creatures, from Incredible Hulk vol.3 #4:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo326/OneDumbG0/Hulk%20Stats/BannerIntelligence63v35.jpg
And it turns out that Banner's genius was something he was born with. As a four year old, he "mastered the intricacies of an erector set in a matter of minutes." From Incredible Hulk #312:
