Okay, cut the Kotor stuff. That's all EU, go do that in the EU forum.
Wouldn't any discussion of possible Episode 7 plots/ stories/ characters technically be EU? As of now, the future episode is an "Expansion" of the current Star Wars "Universe" until it is completed or a book written based on the screenplay. Then it will become canon. And I guess officially ST (sequel trilogy).

Oh, my bad. These last 2 decades, I thought the Thrawn Trilogy was thought of as Episodes 7-9.
they were actually known to not be official continuation of movie canon, even when the news broke that they were being written. but screw facts. lets have a drawn-out juvenile argument about it.

No need drag it out: you didn't counter my post because the reply to your post is the same post you quotted.
What you're doing is extraordinarly laughable. You can't just pretend the last 20 years did not exist which includes massive amounts of fan speculation, general understanding, and consenus.
But I'm glad we both agree that the Thrawn Trilogy was viewed as Episodes 7-9 and that Disney clarified that they would be taking their own unique story and discarding most/all of the Thrawn Trilogy. I am also glad you needed to refute a point not claimed by me (that the Thrawn Trilogy was G-level canon). Would you like to disagree, but actually agree, with anything else?

Well, you tried, right? That's what counts.
And you still agree because you just restated what I was stating but just put a "no" clause in front of it and then proceeded to state what I was stating.
To make it easier for you: the fans thought it for ages and no one claimed it was G-level canon (or the equivalent).
You keep destroying those strawmen: if you don't do it, they will keep standing with their smirky little smirks.

you're just angry and combative because you were clearly wrong when you said:

Except, of course, when we are talking about Episode 7 (teh book).
however, im sure that over the course of the next few pages of dissertations you'll prove that the preceding quote was a fabrication.

I just got done talking to one of my nerdy coworkers about the Episode 8 book. It was a great discussion. We even talked about the Episode 9 book a little towards the end. Neither one of us were pedents about it, either. Mostly because we are both older than 20 and have been fans of Star Wars since we were small children.
That was a great convo.
Do you have those types of conversations? I'm betting not.
I greatly look forward to seeing if stuff, if any at all, is pulled from the non-canon Eps 7-9 books like happened with some awesome stuff in the PT. Those were little golden nuggets for the fans, ya know?

Err, 'the fans' did NOT think any EU was episode VII. There are some fans, and only some, who thought it would settle in place of such a thing, but that's all. They were never marketed in that fashion and never took that mantle. With that, let's keep this back on topic, thanks.
Yeah, after George Lucas pretty much said he wasn't doing an ST, fans settled on the idea that the closest we would get was the Thrawn Trilogy. I remember one smartass, 4-6 years ago, saying, "If you want an ST, read the Thrawn Trilogy." His name was Rogue Jedi. 😐
Part of me is glad that Disney is not doing the Thrawn trilogy. What a relief. I'm antsy to know the very very basics of the direction they are going. Something as simple as "New Jedi Order and watching a powerful force sensitive mature." Something like that to let us know just a tiny bit which direction they are taking the ST. We know the Thrawn Trilogy is out...at least.
