Is that even a Superman like character? Even with that said, his shields didn't protect against phasing - which GL shields CAN do (ala blocking Flash out). You won't be doing that here.

I've seen GL's do it a few times. Making the shield have constantly shifting molecular patterns prevents them from "phasing" out.

I can't read those scans.

Either way, I've seen Flash need Hal's help in escaping a force field they were trapped in because he couldn't phase his way through.
