I mean that Gaara can go beyond the basic also. Sorry if that came out the wrong way.
It would. It would go right through (blow it up also) and reach gaara. But Danny would get a sand spike through his heart before the fist reached the target.

This is basically how the fight would go down, and you know a Hero for Hire always gets his money.

You'll have to prove the sand moves faster then a bullet..
Ok...are we going to assume that anything that's hit ironfist before is > Bullet speed then? If it's high feats vs high feats Gaara does this: (starts at around 7:30)
Or slowly trickles sand onto his feet. Holding him in place for a sink hole to swallow him into the Earth.

Who said we were? Gaara's ability of massive aoe attacks are severely more effective than small straightline moving bullets. He can't dodge a tsunami even if he can dodge bullets.
To get in those heavy shot ironfist would need to be upclose and personal. Something gaara doesn't need to allow. He can fly pretty well with sand and all.
They dont need to be fighting in the forest.

No, Danny does not need to be up close. Danny and Davos blew out an entire floor of a building with a clash of their respective attacks. The IF, when used like he took down the helicarrier has a large radius of effect.
Also, Danny could get close to Gaara, so that's irrelevant.
