I was half asleep and half paying attention to that craptastic film, but didn't the intro say the Earth was going to be destroyed by Piccolo, until some monks or some other shit created the Dragon Balls as a means to defeat him?

Maybe "destroy the Earth" was the typical exaggeration for "kill everybody".

Very possible, but the anime/manga character he's based off is a planet buster himself.

Well, actually...it is possible.

Roshi blew up the moon and he was not as strong as King Piccolo. In fact, Roshi vaporized the moon, not just destroyed it. That's more than enough power for Piccolo to at least blast the planet to pieces without having to vape the whole Earth if you account for the greater mass of the earth (vaping is m ostly about mass (and partially about gravity), not size).

So what the Robtard says is correct. You should know better, by now, to correct Robtard: he's only been wrong when disagreeing with me. 🙂
