If I had my way I would have the first movie in the franchise deal with the mole man, THEN a triumphant Doom story, then Galactus and Surfer.
Yeah or build up Doom becoming more evil/bad ass with each successive film, whilst using new primary villains for a change.
Like Magneto in FC and DOFP, with the main villains being Sebastian Shaw in FC and Trask/Sentinels in DOFP.
That's what I assumed they were going to do with this F4 reboot. I assumed since they're going Negative Zone that Annihilus would be the prime Villain, and Hacker Doom was just starting down his evil genius path.
Also there's no way they're doing an Origin story building up an exciting plot in 100 minutes. It's clearly a repeat of the first film but with a different director and 'tone".
But what will be the point of the crossover if this F4 doesn't knock it out of the park? They've already done everything to hide this movie I don't see them suddenly embracing it alongside their marquee franchise.

Lies. You would have Spider-Man guest-appearing and stealing the show in every part...
😂 Stay out of my head.

Just so they can
Spoiler:
enhance the X-Men franchise with F4 related characters/villains like Galactus
Shhh don't tell Fox. I'm sure they're not smart enough to work that out considering their Mega Plan to reboot the F4 was to use the exact plot and villain as the original F4 but change it to a "darker and more grounded tone."

Like I said, let's just hope Fox doesn't work out they can use those Villains in their X-Men franchise if their FF franchise isn't working.

I take it you've not seen the reviews for this. They've been terrible.
TBH I don't give much about reviews, most of the time I try not to read them before seeing a movie. Depends on the movie and my interest, if it's low I might look at them but with comic movies? Extremly rarly.

Hey I disagree with critics (and general reviewers) a lot. But usually when the reviews are This Bad, it'd be unrealistic to expect anything special.

A matter of taste. Take Ghost Rider 1 for example, really bad reviews but I liked this movie. The second one was shit though.

So... it bombed or is it too early to say?
a few days ago i read that this was going to win the weekend with between $40 and $50 million..... not sure overseas though.. but despite that FOX won't give up the rights anytime soon,... in fact i just read that FOX and Marvel are in negotiations for the proposed X-Men tv show...

Well Fox is going to have to give Marvel SOMETHING to get those TV rights seeing as they have none right now...
They'll give them FF or at least FF related characters.
They might as well. They've tried 3 times now, and their films are just getting less and less profitable (this will probably make a loss).
Strangely though the 2005 one made good profit, which is probably why they hung on to it for so long. In fact that shows the potential this franchise had, but Fox have just flushed it down the toilet.

Not just terrible. On RT, it's tracking to become the worst reviewed Marvel movie of all. 😖 We're talking worse than Howard The Duck or Punisher: War Zone, or any Michael Bay movie. 😱

I mean, Marvel fans who were hating so much on Iron Man 3 - that scored in the high 70% range on RT, by comparison.
But we won't know the full answer for another ten days (whether Fox cries uncle and lets another property go back to Marvel Studios) - not until after the first weekend, and seeing how much it drops by the second weekend.

I think it's a given that Fox will let this go now. It's unlikely this will make a profit, and no one's going to be interested in a sequel, so they'll let it go. They've tried 2 or 3 times now, but can't make it work. It's over Fox. Move on.

I think a straight monopoly style trade may end up happening. The timing, once again, is pretty damn good for Marvel.
