Yeah, problem is not everything goes according to plan in a fight. But that'd be a viable tactic to win via such incapacitation, I guess.

What was the most powerful Trident Aquaman had? Wasn't it the one where he cracked an Imperiex Probe? What was it's name?

He only had one trident pre-reboot, and it was the trident of poseidon, given to him as a prize for beating Poseidon's son, Triton, in single combat.

Aquaman himself never showed any partic power boosts with it, though. Tempest did, however.

If Wolvie though plays it sneaky (draw the claws later in the fight) he can surprise AQ

Wolverine beats Aquaman handily in anything resembling melee combat.

Seriously though, Namor is stronger, faster, more durable. Most likely more skilled, too. No way Arthur could beat him in h2h. Well, trident would be his only chance.

Faster? definetly not. Aquaman has shown far more skilled hand to hand fighting as well.
