Cyberpunk 2077

Well see the thing is I didn't say he said he had a low framerate and didn't mind it I said he wasn't experiencing that stuff.

Been playing this on PS5 (ps4 version of the game tho) I think I’ve only had it bug out once.

I play it on PS4 pro and I've experienced a few texture glitches but don't notice FPS drops.

I'm also not a whiny gamer, though.

Oh ok. Well in that case I dunno. Maybe it does vary from system to system for whatever reason. That does happen sometimes. I remember my old Xbox 360 struggled to run the first mass effect game and when I got a new Xbox 360 a couple years later it ran much better even though there had been no patches in that time for the game.

I'm sure newer models of ps4 can probably handle it better? This is supposed to be a newer ps4.

When I worked at gamestop I remember older models of xbox 360 not performing as well with certain newer games

We experienced some shit too when ps3 first launched. Shitty stuff.

Yeah could be. I dunno. Lot of weird bugs in the game so that could be one of them.

I still remember the horrors that were the first few days after skyrim launched

*shudders*

elemental resistances being turned into weaknesses! legit flame atronarchs dying via fire

Never had a frame rate issue on my GoW Edition PS4 Pro.

I've had blue screens, I've clipped through a few walls and gone out of bounds or below the map. And I've had stuff like a gun appearing in Jackie's hand as he hands me something. Oh and the now infamous render issue where a person is just a lump of textures for a few seconds before they load in properly. Little stuff like that that is few and far between(like hours between one glitch and the next) but the glitches/bugs are there. Still with how about 95% of every AAA game in the past 10 years has shipped with at least a few decent bugs and then patched them out, the actual quality of the game lets me look past the minor hangups because I know by the time it gets patched I'll still be playing.

Seems like they should've delayed the console version until next year from the things that i've seem of it.

The only issue with that is people would've rioted if it continued to get delayed. And would've complained about even more crunch, etc...

They were in a hard spot. But the glitches can be patched and CDPR will get it fixed hopefully sooner than later. I'd personally rather have some glitches I can just reload my save and be done with for a while rather than wait another 6 months or whatever.

Well either that or cancel the previous gen console version and only on release the game on PS5 & Xbox series X. Only problem there is not a great deal of people own next gen consoles.

Does anybody remember the Mass Effect Andromeda shit storm with the bad character models.

If EA release Mass Effect in this state for previous gen systems, it would be a much bigger shitstorm.

But Cyberpunk had a lot of good press coming into the release date (aside from delays) and seeing some videos/screenshots of these versions...its really bad.

Yeah, scalpers and insanely high demand have made it basically impossible to get a PS5/XBsX unless you're rich or have connections. Even then, the next gen versions of the game aren't set to roll out until next year so we'd have the same issue with increased wait time. People are playing the PS4/XB1 versions on the next gen consoles as of now, which mitigates a lot of the issues because of the superior hardware.

There's a difference. The character models in this game have no issues at all. They look great. Even on current gen people look amazing and the attention to detail is top notch. Bugs and glitches(which Andromeda had it's fair share of) are not the same as the game just looking bad, which is what Andromeda suffered from. For example, I'll get the character glitch where someone will just be fuzzy pixels for a few seconds, but then they just fully load and it's a perfect model. In Andromeda your Ryder always looked wonky no matter what. You can't compare the two by any stretch.

And CDPR has good press because they make good games. Even when they screw up, they fix it. Andromeda was just bad from day 1 and never got better.

Even Witcher 3 had bugs/glitches from what i've been hearing on launch but that was eventually fixed up.

Exactly. I can't name a AAA title in the past several years that has launched completely bug free. And some of the biggest names have had huge bugs. Fallout, one of the most popular series of all time made a living off of bugs. So Cyberpunk having them doesn't bother me. Does it break immersion in the moment? Yes. But for me at least it's such a rare instance I don't mind, especially knowing in a few weeks or a months time all that will be fine, and I'll probably just be finishing my first of several playthroughs.

The issue isn’t that there are bugs. Bugs are expected in a game like this and unless they’re game breaking people can forgive them if the game is ambitious. The problem in this case is that CDPR refused to show any console gameplay before release. Only allowing reviewers to use footage that was provided by them. That amounts to false advertising and is extremely anti consumer.

But it's Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projeck Red...they can do no wrong so its OK it's busted at launch...and that they didn't let people review the console version until day 1

But...hey..bugs are expected....Ubisoft releases a game with bugs..UNACCEPTABLE

Longest few weeks or months ever for Skyrim bug fixes. Still waiting on that, repeatedly fell through the map like I stepped into some portals.

Except people aren't saying that...

A lot of people are pissed just look at the user reviews on metacritic.
