Started playing at midnight last night, stayed up till 7AM playing. Just got up a hour ago, playing again. Only glitch/bug I've encountered is a car chase sequence where my gun was invisible. The game is f***ing awesome so far.
It's funny that this game has been accused of transphobia so much because this game is far more progressive than any other AAA title I can think of in that regard. I don't think any other AAA game lets you create and play as an outright trans character. But for these keyboard warriors at places like Resetera it's never enough. They will always find fault and complain. It's ridiculous.
I saw an article complaining you couldn't make it so you got referred to with they/them pronouns.
At that point one needs to ask are you reviewing games or pushing an agenda.
Just look at this shit lol.
Cyberpunk 2077 is dad rock, not new wave
"CD Projekt Red’s open-world game does not exactly have a futuristic worldview"
Lmao

Her name's Jessie Plagge. An awful SJW excuse of a games journalist. I know what the issue is, though. It's obvious she just hates RPG's and they keep giving her RPG's to write about. On top of a sexual assault case involving her and another case where she blatantly lied about a coworker to get them fired iirc, she -
Gave Poke'mon a 7/10 because it had "too much water."
She gave Days Gone a 7/10 because of the albino freakers like you said, but that's because she didn't do the side mission where it's explained in blatant detail that a side effect of the freaker virus is the loss of all skin pigmentation, therefore making them white and albino.
And yep, she gave Cyberpunk, you guessed it, a 7/10. Not because of the bugs or anything like that. But because she didn't play huge chunks of the game because she couldn't be bothered. Like, who plays an RPG and goes, "I'm not gonna do any of the pop up quests or side quests because I don't wanna, and I'm only gonna craft 1 thing." Then she and her friends at GameSpot have been trying to get people who criticized her banned and deplatformed, and went so far as to take comments off of THE VIDEO INTERVIEW WHERE SHE ADMITS SHE DIDN'T ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME!!

And yeah this is ridiculous too. You can make a fully trans person of either base gender, so chick with a d*ck or dude with a c*nt, doesn't matter. People are just mad that they didn't make a 3rd and 4th and 5th voice track with genderfluid pronouns and theys and thems. Most trans people I hear about and the few I've met identify as male or female. So why are they mad that your voice slider determines your gender pronouns? You sound like a dude, people call you a dude. Simple.
Man, who cares. The over or under representation of LGBTQ is the absolute least of this game's problems.
Runs like absolute shit on PC. Buggy as hell. Makes Bethesda games look good.
They nailed the atmosphere though. The first hour of the game on Street Kid origin didn't grip me but once I remade my character as a Corpo mommy my entire perspective on the game's aesthetic changed. I went from feeling like I was just playing GTA to feeling like Adam Jensen.

They remind me of the kind of people who complained "Dunkirk" was too white.
I guess experiences vary. Some aren't having an issues.
My friend has it on ps4 and says he hasn't experienced any issues.
But some with PS4's have. Is it just luck or different models or what?
But I would never ever buy a game like this on opening day or even opening week.
I'd give it at least a few weeks for various patches to be applied, etc.
Maybe your friend just doesn't mind low frame rate. Some people aren't bothered by that at all and for others, it's essentially game breaking.
It also varies depending on what is going on in the game. Certain areas and segments cause the FPS to dip.
I agree, I am not playing this game for a few months either way.
