Undead does not mean dead. It's hilarious that you think the definitions are interchangeable.

Its hilarious that you think being unkillable makes one unbeatable...

That's not canon. Sok's bullets kill. They don't ko, ever. Thanos is immune to death. Thanos wins. Better feats and unkillable.

Look at the definition of undead for me.

You'll see how I am right and your point was moot.

And both are dead.

Absolutely false. Dead things don't speak, reason, hunger, feel, MOVE, lust, etc... (like vampires and other undead do).

Dead things are D E A D.

If you dig up Gwen Stacey's corpse, can you have a conversation with it about how it's day was? If you stab it in the chest, around where it's heart should be, will it die? If you expose it to sunlight, will it burst into flames while screaming in pain? Does it need a daily infusion of blood to keep it sentient? Can it take a stroll with you through the park (under it's own power)?

No right? That's because ITS DEAD. Undead are not dead. They are UN-DEAD.

Undead is a category of dead. I never said they were interchangeable. If you are undead you are dead, but if you're dead you're not necessarily undead.

Dont get all upset because the only thing Thanos can do in this fight is file sexual assault charges.

Let me know when you look up the definition and are ready to apologize.

to mindset's point--the undead are ALSO called the walking dead, time and time again. what about the black lanterns? are they dead, or undead? dead in the sense that they are NOT alive, is not much of a stretch imo... thought the whole discussion is kind of amusing.....

No, look them up. They don't mean the same thing. Undead is not dead. Zop was accurate. The definition cites vampires just like his reasoning. He's right.

The definition also cites zombies.

You both can send your apologies to my inbox.

Look -
Dead :

Notice how she's not moving, breathing, speaking, emoting, etc...

Undead :

Notice how he's speaking, moving, emoting, is self-aware, etc..

There IS a difference. Undead are not dead. Otherwise they wouldn't fear sunlight, stakes through the heart, headshots, etc... because when that happens, they DIE.

Dont get all upset because the only thing Thanos can do in this fight is file sexual assault charges.

I'm not upset at you. You're one of the funnier posters on this site. I'm just saying, undead are not dead.

Regarding Zombies, they aren't dead. They are undead also. They lust/hunger for flesh, they move, and what happens when you get a headshot off on them? They stop doing all that and drop dead no?

If Spiderman dug up Gwen Stacey's corpse and put a bullet in it's head, what would happen to it? If he did that to a zombie, what would happen to it? If he put a stake through the heart of a vampire, what would happen to it. See my point?

That post was for Quan.

If something is undead, than it is dead.

Case closed.

Zombies are undead. Zombies aren't dead though they are undead.

Robtard broke my pm box with all his apologies.

A labrador is a dog.

A dog is not necessarily a labrador.

Something undead is dead.

Something dead is not necessarily undead.

Get a dictionary. I don't have time to teach the meaning of words and tell Quan what happened in the Preacher comics.

Undead and dead are too completely different definitions.

Completely different from what we are addressing. If something is undead it can still move. If it's dead it can't. Pretty simple.

I know way more than you do about Preacher comics.

Also, let's not let Quan try to divert our attention from the fact SOK goes balls deep in Thanos.

Not the same thing at all. The dead are just that.........dead. They don't move, sleep, feel pain, emote, aren't self-aware, etc..

Most UNDEAD DO ALL of those things. They obviously CANNOT be dead. Otherwise how do you explain the fact that vampires DIE when exposed to sunlight or are staked through the heart? How do you explain why zombies DIE when shot in the head? Because they aren't dead. They are undead. Hence why a whole new word is used to describe them.

Labradors are dogs and a dog isn't necessarily a Lab but BOTH dogs and labs have the same features that qualifies them as dogs. Your undead/dead example is like saying dogs are cats because both of them have fur, four legs, and a tail.

Undead are not dead and the dead aren't undead because despite superficial appearances they are NOTHING alike.

At least you admitted that I'm teaching you about the Preacher comics, that's a start.

Thanos would rip this redneck limb from limb. He needs to get over his crappy wife.

They don't die, their bodies are destroyed or the power that animated their already dead bodies is extinguished.
